What about SGOL and SIVR?
ESCAPE THE FATE!
@ sheattri777 PHYSICAL BULLION IS GOOD AND WILL ALWAYS BE GOOD.
So hes saying only buy Krugerrands and Silver rounds/bars and avoid junk silver and old gold coins like saint gaudens????
Amazing Bullshit!3% below spot if you take it to a refiner! What a scam artist do you own homework or get taking again and again!
There are some talks about nationalizing 401k though no pending legislation yet so don't be shocked if all of a sudden they do that to help the country out. I would go with GoldMoney as opposed to Perth Mint. McCoach, Schiff, & Mike Maloney are pro GoldMoney and its also run by renown Gold bug, James Turk - audited, secured by Brinks and insured. Perth had some issues a few months ago on delivering. And do not fall for the free storage scam. You want it to be allocated with a nice price
Do not, I repeat, do NOT be suprised if they nationalize 401k. There has been talk about this, but no pending legislation - yet. If you can, get out NOW, and then take that money and then buy physical metal. If you're smart, you will get Silver and expect for Silver to go over $600/oz. Free mkt level of Silver should be $350/oz on or around end of 2008 according to Mike Maloney & David Morgan. Take the 40%, get silver, and be happy with the 40 times ROI :)
Why would the factories close down..? There's always a demand for those products.
What does the person do if they have all their savings in an IRA account? They can't take it out until they retire or they get taxed up to 60%. So they have to invest it in the market. If GLD and SLV etf's are not good then what is?
When the upcoming apocalypse hits its best to have an ass purse from Peenman Enterprises. That way you can store your gold coins up your ass and barter with the roving biker gangs for your wife's life. Caution, do not use the ass purse from Peenman Enterprises if you are about to use the turd vaporizer.
Good pt -- if you're gonna buy gold -- don't buy some certificate. Take physical possession - OR DONT BUY AT ALL!
lmfao i thought this was something to do with Escape the Fate lmfao im dumb as fuck
The only worthy paper I have in my home is a wad of toilet paper. !!!
Steering clear of ETFs is pretty much a no-brainer, but I'd say people should go one step further and steer clear of metals altogether. You want to invest in something valuable, start stockpiling band-aids and deoderant and toothpaste and pain medication, along with water, food and other survival supplies to last a few years or more. When the factories shut down, none of this stuff is going to be produced let alone available. INVEST IN SURVIVAL SUPPLIES FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, not shiny rocks.
Phyiscal medal is better, ETF is electronic.
Only trust real gold
ETF's backed by gold?? Some might be. But for myself I don't want to be dependent on somebody elses PROMISES. Just use common sense & look what's going on in the financial world. Plus the fact that your paper gold can be used to manipulate the price (mostly down) of the very assets your investing in. I will only trust REAL BULLION in my own hands What's so difficult about storage, that's what safety deposit boxes are made for.
Is this gut saying that buying 9999 Canadian Gold Maples at 850-900 is a bad deal?
This guy is crazy - gold and silver ETFs backed by derivatives? Maybe in the US. In Europe this is not true. Companies like ETF Securities actually publish a bar list on their website...can't get better than that
Right, don't pay a numismatic premium, and physical possession might be necessary. People hardly think about it. Well circulated and well reputable mints and producers are what you want.
thanks!
So you assume that when I buy 100 shares of GLD, they buy the equivalent in bullion. And when I sell 100 shares, they sell the equivalent. But what if I short GLD?
Gold and silver ETF's are the way to go right now, I do it through Scottrade. $7 a trade as opposed to the utterly ridiculous commissions for physical.
gold bullion securities ETF are back by gold. They're allocated gold in a vault, not unallocated, so this guy is wrong
This guy is an idiot. GLD is backed completely by gold and has no derivatives at all. This loser wanted to have an etf with a 1% fee??? No wonder he was excluded.
