it was a horrible call. the lead leg took the ball cleanly. the rest of his body trailed behind. the other leg was there only because it's attached to his body in the same vicinity as the lead leg. textbook tackle.

no...it's possible to slide in with one leg pointing outwards and the other one not sticking out. i wouldn't personally have punished him for this tackle because i think the rules are too strict, but still, knowing the rules he should have been more careful, ideally.

what was he supposed to do with his other leg, leave it on the bench? bad call.

Yer why did the commentator say it was 2 footed his other leg was bent. I thought it was a great tackle .........Hislop became one of my fav Gk's after this and many other games.

that was well worthy of a yellow card and it was his second of the game so the red is definitely warranted. one of the best performances ive ever seen by a goalie...

it's a difficult one to call, the tackling leg definitely gets the ball but his trailing leg takes the man and follows very very soon afterwards, so it's almost 2 footed. in a more lenient era that would've been seen as fine, but he was certainly taking an unnecessary risk when already on a yellow card - world cups have some of the strictest (and sometimes worst) refereeing. and wilhelmsson play acts like a sissy so you just have to hope referee's dont fall for it!

that red card was terrible. that was a clean tackle with one foot, no matter how many times the commentator said it was a 2-footed tackle. trinidad and tobago showed real class by not arguing too vehemently, but you can imagine what was being said in homes and bars around the world.

shaka is the man. he's crazy in this game, and probably one of my favorite keepers alltime. so sad he retired...
