Hes no Roy Jones, of course Floyd is amazing, but fighters came close to beating him and gave him problems, Roy Jones was absolutely unstoppable in his prime. Floyd was just a generation, RJJ was all time.

come again ?? who came close to beating him? And even if so he rose to the occasion and prevailed. Roy jones is great as well but there's no comparison. Mayweather beat guys who were considered top fighters when they fought. Mayweather schooled Gatti in front his home town, schooled Hatton in front his home crowd IN AMERICA, schooled De la hoya ,rated the "fight of the century" Corrales vs Castillo schooled both of dem too..no comparison bruh
Jose Luis Castillo ... ( 2 days ago by bigdunk9)
Jose Luis Castillo TWICE, De La Hoya went too a split decision. Of course Floyd is a great fighter, but Roy Jones beat the likes of Hopkins, Trinidad, James Toney in their primes with ease, and with so much style. Floyd destroyed Gatti when he was past it and Hatton was taylor made for Floyd. Hes the P4P best of this generation but RJJ was all time P4P best

this was just blocking practice for floyd he schooled him he landed more punches even though oscar through over 130 punches
now thats what i call skill
"Hatton was taylor ... ( 1 day ago by godvia)
"Hatton was taylor made for Floyd" you sound like bytch Jones beat Trinidad in his prime 0_o? who by the way is out of his prime and way smaller than Jones. ..A win is a win bruh split whole or bent!!...Mayweather beat respected boxers/brawlers who are in many cases future hall of Famers ..How many did Jones beat? In fact outside the 2 you just mention how many recognizable names can you find?..plz don't even say Ruiz lol
Mayweather is the ... ( 1 day ago by BusbyBabes4life)
Mayweather is the best hes probs as close to ali
Maybe but Hatton ... ( 1 day ago by bigdunk9)
Maybe but Hatton was smaller than Mayweather so was Gatti so was Castillo yet he gave him problems, in no way am I trying to say Floyd is a poor fighter hes definetly P4P best now, but RJJ never had a problem with anyone he fought he literally entertained the crowd. Even when he beat Toney and Hopkins who themselves were in the P4P list he made it look easy. Hatton walked into Mayweather from the off it wasn't a test because Floyd can hit and move all day.
Floyd never proved ... ( 16 hours ago by fabolous37)
Floyd never proved himself as a 147 pounder. Oscar was past his prime and Hatton is a blown up 135 pounder.

i dont care who you are or what u say...my boy floyd is in my mind the best p4p boxer ever. he has proven himself many times. he makes fights look easy because he is the best boxer alive. if i could think of a good challenge for him it would be either roy
jones jr. or my other boy mike tyson. i know mike is a hevyweight but if he could mak the weight it would be the best fight... in my mind ever

Agree with you man, ... ( 9 hours ago by dcvien)
Agree with you man, but Jones in his prime (say late 90's) was a fucking beast. Would have destroyed almost anybody. Definetely one of the greatest pound for pound of all time mainly due to he's speed, angle's, agility and elusiveness. He was a boxer who relied on these qualities, now that he's lost some of them he's not like what he used to be.
Mayweather and ... ( 9 hours ago by dcvien)
Mayweather and Jones are both great. Roy was a freak, the most naturally gifted boxer ever. Mayweather maybe the best technically and skilled.
No one is disputing ... ( 9 hours ago by godvia)
No one is disputing Jones qualities I certainly am not. But I would just say, look at Jones clips on youtube, and as outstanding as he looks. Before you say "Look how Roy knock dat guy dat Fuck out" ask yourself which guy?...a police officer? put a name to the face..Again, other than Hopkins and Toney...On the same token Mayweather has done the same, the only difference is..And this point seems to me lost on some, is that he is doing it against established champions in their own right.
True! Roy's ... ( 5 hours ago by dcvien)
True! Roy's abilities were like no other. These were what made him a legend. Where as Mayweather is strategic, defensive, technical (maybe the best technically) and just simply outboxed in every way. The most well rounded and balanced boxer I've ever seen. He's always a treat to watch, but a prime Jones entertained me more. He's still good to watch though.
