  4. Nov 14, 2009 at 12:06 AM by sj1778

Still the Tyson of 96 ! was alot better than the Tyson that Lewis fought .

  5. Nov 13, 2009 at 06:45 PM by mvpsmb1

@ipitythefo0l1 well if you took the Holyfield of 90 and added a dash of the Holyfield of 96's experience and then had the trainer from Rocky train him. Holyfield would crush the 89 Tyson in the first round, so there toolbag. Tyson got smoked both times he fought Holyfield and for that matter everytime he fought a decent boxer. So let it rest.

  6. Nov 13, 2009 at 05:48 PM by ipitythefo0l1

the tyson of 96 was a shadow of the tyson of 89. tyson of 89 smashes holyfield within 3

  7. Nov 12, 2009 at 06:19 PM by wr1swd84

dundee would be biased hes abit of a dick...steward said lewis was too big for ali........and would beat him...

  8. Nov 12, 2009 at 06:18 PM by wr1swd84

steve bunce....others too have said on interview..dundee dont know the outcome ....its opinion..but what i know is foremans been floored by lesser oponants than tyson...foreman wouldnt hit a prime tyson........holmes was good when tyson fought him albeit abit past it...tyson was faster and more explosive than any heavy from any era...theres facts...foreman wouldnt last 3 rounds...there both brawlers...tyson was 200lbs at fucking 13yrs old..hes was a prodigy

  9. Nov 12, 2009 at 05:46 PM by mvpsmb1

no no no, Cus said a swarmer like Frazier and also Tyson, because Tyson was a swarmer could never beat a Foreman. That is a fact. Ring Magazine and Bert Sugar both have Ali and Foreman ranked above Tyson in the all time heavyweights. Angelo Dundie, who is regarded as one if not the best boxing coaches ever said a prime Ali could not even be touched by a prime Tyson. These arent my opinions I'm throwing at you, it's just theirs. So what experts are you referring to?

  10. Nov 12, 2009 at 05:30 PM by wr1swd84

you dont understand......a john ruiz floored holyfield..ruiz aint big puncher...tyson only hit holyfield with a few failry hard shots....no human on the planet can take a heavyweight shot on the point of the chin.....tysons punches grazed, skimmed and hit when arm fully extended....if tyson hit him like he hit carl the truth williams or botha then it would be so different....holyfield very gud chin but not superhuman..watch them fights and ul see what i mean..

  11. Nov 12, 2009 at 05:27 PM by fadethetrade

But why did holyfield walk thru tysons punches????? and douglas was knocked down but ended up getting more motivated and tyson couldn't folllow thru.

  12. Nov 12, 2009 at 05:19 PM by wr1swd84

well ali got floored in prime , frazier, foreman all did...foreman had a poor defence.....serious tyson never had a cut or bruise in prime time....he bobbed and weaved so much and this is why i actually wouldnt be surprised if tyson would beat ali on point....tyson got a barrage of fast hard shots at him in middle of ring and they just clipped him at best...he threw 1 shot bk...1..and kod this guy...he was awesome...experts said tyson at best could of beaten any fighter from any era

  13. Nov 12, 2009 at 04:54 PM by fadethetrade

I understand what you say but rooney here doesn't talk about that it was tysons fault he lost to douglas anad holyfield because tyson didnt train the right way,not that all these guys here and there were the cause of tyson losing.Rooney doesnt say anything about that.i believe tyson on form with jacobs, cayton, rooney and no robin givens, beats holyfield and douglas because tyson beat tucker who ko'd douglas but ali and foreman might be another story

no he fucking didnt..your a fucking dick..ive seen ever cus interview.....he said ali was unbeatable....foreman wass fucking slow, unskilled and VERY EASY to hit...prime tyson was NEVER hit, not even a fucking bruise on any of his fights i saw...ali struggled with fucking a small frazier...boxing developed more with better trainers over the yrs...foreman got floored and beat in prime....tyson didnt...tyson would of ended foreman in 3 FACT......experts, not retards like you said so............

  16. Nov 6, 2009 at 05:46 PM by MultiGreat1

tyson no matter what would have never beaten prime foreman even if cus never died cause told tyson that some one like foreman he could not beat

  17. Nov 5, 2009 at 12:57 AM by mvpsmb1

60 and 0? 60 and 0?? Rooney looses alot of credibility with that statement. He really thought they would be able to duck and weave all the real boxers that long? Holyfield beat Tyson in 96 and he would have beaten him in 90 if Douglas hadn't. I can just imagine the meetings between Cus and Rooney "Rooney, listen to me, don't sign any fights for Mike against guys who have heart and aren't scared".

Whatever they may have been, after Tyson Kevin did a remarkable job with Vinny Pazienza over a ten year period and got Vinny to use every last ounce of ability and courage that he had. Watching them win the world junior middleweight title together that night in Providence was unforgettable.

LMAO! I know man! Atlas fries tyson every chance he can! Over that incident where he got fired. Watched a late night tyson doc. on vs. and atlas, Burt Sugar, and some other goon was commentating and atlas was soooo biased it was almost laughable! I actually like atlas but he gave him no credit whatsover...I found it almost comical and so did the other documentor...the other guy not Burt Sugar

This is called "Kevin Rooney on Mike Tyson"

  22. Sep 21, 2009 at 09:10 AM by Omer698

Kevin had drug and alcohol problems?

  23. Sep 12, 2009 at 09:23 AM by igotnomods

Great interview Kevin but no where in it did you bring up your issues of drug and alcohol use that definitely effected your abilities as a trainer.

  24. Sep 5, 2009 at 10:04 PM by XtraTrstrL

I said Rooney, but I meant Atlas - is talking trash always in the game.

  25. Sep 5, 2009 at 10:03 PM by XtraTrstrL

Don't forget about Teddy Atlas. He may hold tons of resentment towards Mike now, lol, I even sense it in the Fight Night Round 4 game. Everytime I pick Mike, Rooney is talking trash throughout the match, downplaying him. Back in the day though, Teddy Atlas was Mike's head trainer under Cus's tutelage. Teddy is more known than Rooney. Rooney definitely had enough knowledge to get the job done though, no doubt. Teddy had the harder job at the beginning though, of breaking that shell open.
