Life is not lonely @ all, but you have to understand the degree in which the dog (and cat) are highly valued..from ancient times till present day, the dog has served as a pet and in some cases, an addition to a family..The reason why this sickens me so is because I learned at a young age to love and be kind to all animals..And I hate to see ANY creature in pain..I even jump around the earth worms that appear after it rains...
