Foster was the onlt guy who ever cut Ali... and Ali had a very resilient and strong skin... Had Foster been a Heavyweight, he might have been able to KO Ali...

  2. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:57 PM by ExplosiveThinMan

Foster had one of the biggest jabs ever. He even busted Ali up with his jab. Nobody else ever really did that not even Holmes or Norton.

Remember alot of the guys that Tyson faced in that period were scared of him and they never really pushed the pace the way another great fighter would. Bonecrusher Smith held all night because he didnt want to get KOd. Tony Tubbs had the boxing skills but he was never in shape or had any committment. I think Mike`s best win in a pure boxing sense may have been Pinklon Thomas. He was having some difficulty with Thomas before putting him out.

im not sure anyone really sees tyson the same, anyway I see Tyson as a great technician first and foremost with great speed and timing..much better than JF in these areas. Heart and stamina I dont know..but I still think that Tyson 86-89 was not able to tire.

  5. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:27 PM by ExplosiveThinMan

I think Tyson would be dangerous for a few rounds but Ali was so tough and could box from the outside and move. Frazier was the opposite. He got stronger as the fight went on. Thats why Ali had so much difficulty with him. He hit him with everything but it seemed that Joe got strength from it and cameback harder round after round. We just see Tyson differently.

  6. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:22 PM by BringerOfTheTruth

I dont know what would happen but I think to say that Ali would just play with him like a child is a little bit unfair against a peak Tyson-

  7. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:22 PM by BringerOfTheTruth

Well again I've never seen Tyson tired when he was training well for his fights with the Rooney camp. Yes the Tyson after got tired inside 5 rounds but not the 22 years old Tyson. He was also well prepared for the Ruddock fights and those fights where tough, but he didnt tire. I do believe Tyson could Psyke Ali as well..not the Tyson that already had 3 defeats but the undefeated, menacing looking tyson who looked unbeatable in the 80ties.

  8. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:17 PM by ExplosiveThinMan

Tyson could have beaten Frazier but he better get him inside the first 3 or 4 rounds because if he lets Joe warm up and start Smokin! Tyson is gonna lose.

  9. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:16 PM by ExplosiveThinMan

Doubtful. Ali would have peppered Mike for 4 or 5 rounds and Tyson would have been looking for a place to go down. Ali would have psyched him out at those press conference because Tyson was mentally weak. Joe was mentally enough to not let it affect him in the ring. Mike was childlike mentally.

  10. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:12 PM by BringerOfTheTruth

Btw, I dont see how JF's resumee is so much more impressive than Tysons...who did he beat apart from a rusty Ali ? Tyson would have beaten taht version of Ali too.

  11. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:08 PM by BringerOfTheTruth

His "prime" was when he was with Rooney and Cus and was in good shape, not the chaos that followed. That fighter would whup frazier easily..all frazier knew how to do was bob and weave aimlessly and he would bob and weave straight into tysons uppercuts, just like he did against foreman. Heavy hitter+accuracy = ko of joe frazier. Tyson wouldnt even need "heart" because the fight would be over in less than 3 rounds.

  12. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:00 PM by ExplosiveThinMan

He never had anybody test him in his so called prime. He was 24 when Douglas started peppering him with combinations and his punch output and all these "mythical" skills he had dissapeared pretty quick. He froze up started to throw one punch at a time and got beat to the punch all night.

  13. Nov 25, 2009 at 12:56 PM by BringerOfTheTruth

Tyson didnt freeze or got tired in his prime.

  14. Nov 25, 2009 at 12:27 PM by ExplosiveThinMan

Frazier was a better infighter and he had much better stamina over the distance. He carried his power through the course of a tough fight much better than did Tyson. If Mike didnt KO his guy inside of 7 or 8 rounds he wasnt going to get him at all. Joe had alot more heart and wouldnt freeze up if he was getting outboxed. Tyson did.

  15. Nov 25, 2009 at 12:25 PM by ExplosiveThinMan

About 15 years? Boxing didnt change that much between the early 70s and the mid 80s.

Palspal was the women. She had it coming though. She bit down too hard.

I can't believe how skinny Foster's legs were.

  18. Nov 13, 2009 at 11:41 PM by 2READYCRETE

Boxing infact didn't evolve between Tyson's and Frazier's time, infact it deteriorated as time went on. When Frazier was fighting, they had to train by fighting, running, hitting bags, and sparing endlessly in gyms, Today, fighters are lucky to be able to fight a full 10 rounds

  19. Nov 13, 2009 at 01:32 PM by TheBestBoxingGame

Prime for Prime Tyson was strong, faster and with better boxing. I can't see how Frazier could have been better than him. Only thing frazier did better, was to retire before it got embarrasing.

Foster fought Ali, too. He did pretty good because Ali was clowning, as usual. But in the end, Ali smashed him good in his face, knocking him down. Pretty cool.

Hey MrPalspal....Was this woman your wife? You seem to be very concerned about her.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier recently was arrested in North Philadelphia for assaulting a woman in a domestic dispute, police said. Frazier, 60, was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment, police said. Someone called 911 from the home and when police arrived, a woman who opened the door had injuries to her lip and face and alleged that Frazier struck her

What are you talking about?? Boxing regressed from Frazier's time to Tysons Time. Tim Witherspoon , Tony Tucker , Pinklon Thomas , Gerrie Coetzee nor MIchael Dokes may have been able to compete with these guys
