AMAZING VIDEO THANK YOU SOOO MUCH
This is not a pedestrian beat! Love Frank's outfit!
@Neverhit17: that's Bruce Fowler on Trombone. Brother Tom on Bass... Walt is a Trumpet player. He wasn't hired by Frank until the following year (1974) of this video. FYI Thanks FRANK!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!! BIG TIME!!!! Frank, and all the people he worked with are just impeccable!
Pretty sure that's Walt Fowler on trombone. This band had all 3 Fowlers. This is great music, but definitely not Father Oblivion.... variation on the piece leading up to Bee Bop Tango heard on Roxy & Elsewhere. BTW I saw Walt Fowler in James Taylor's band in 2007(?)
it's still not Farther O'Blivion. hehe.
this kind of music , change your life.
Get on your feet and do the funky Alphonso!!!!
All praises to Frank Zappa!!!
Amazing! I saw this band on this tour in Okla City in1973. One the best concerts I have ever seen. Imagine when people were going to Foghat concerts and thinking that shit was music. Most people just thought Zappa was "WIERD". Thank God he was wierd.
Thank you so much for posting this
:-)
Oh my god, I get stoned and listen to zappa, I'm a loser. Woe is me!
and his brother? oh God!!
LOL, I didn't say I had anything . . .
Dummy you think you got it all huh? hahaha
and the acid heads thought they were so far out . . . :D losers
Absolutely incredable! This is a must watch. Be sure to watch all three videos in order. " Father O'Blivion (1-3) - Stockholm 73
Blows my mind, ive wanted to see this for years, Roxy n Elsewhere period, in my top albums of all time, leg end airy. Im so happy, thank you bongolampo, youtube, and Zappaaaaa......
And what about his brother on trombone !Amazing i love trombone solo! It became so underrated
Love Tom Fowler...one of the best Zappa bassists.
Ralph Humfrey is a beast! and underrated drummer, the drumming of Zappa songs not is easy. For me the best Zappa drummer.
Jean-Luc Ponty playing wha-wha Violin... Interesting effect since i'm not sure that i can recognise the sound of a violin without viewing that video.
But it's unusual in Rock. As is a wah wah Bass Clarinet solo
Bruce was fucking ace!
