he only uses open tuning (open G sus 4 for example )or dropped tunings (D , C# and C with variations ) with capo.
He also uses a thing I've never seen before
its kind of a partial capo ( in the song Rylynn for example )

Make your own style, it is the only way emotion can be conveyed threw your music. For you can not convey TRUE emotion threw something not of your own. Make your own music, and you will be happy. However Andy mckee is a great inspiration for all of us guitar players, and other musicians.

NO a martin would not sound the good. its a Lowden, O body shape. fantastic guitars, light as a feather, responisve, good volume, great projection, amazing tone, good play ability. unfortunately, they are about
£3k, so i can only dream of owning one. oddly enough the guitar andy is using here is not his own, he borrowed it, andy used an avalon for the album, which is basically a lowden but with very subtle differences

hollllllly crap that's an expensive guitar, I happen to have a great electric, a gibson 1980 les paul, you can check it out in my vids, and it was $1500, sooo...around 850 pounds, but I haven't ever gotten around to getting a better acoustic, so I'm still stuck with mine, although the 'rents said they'd match whatever I saved up, and I've had my eye on a Gibson Hummingbird, so hopefully, I'll be getting that once I save up some money =)
