Really? Tyson in ... ( 3 weeks ago by Z1Z2Z5Z4)
Really? Tyson in his prime would have absorbed a couple of dozen left jabs before getting anywhere near Lewis. By then, both Tyson's eyes would have been closed. As for how great a fighter Lewis was, listen to George Foreman's comments when you have a chance.
So because George ... ( 3 weeks ago by guitarbandit7498)
So because George Foreman says Lewis is the greatest heavyweight of all time means I'm supposed to believe it? pft. I've got a right to form my own opinion based on my own knowledge of the sport. Truth is if anyone watches the first round of the Lewis Tyson fight Tyson won the first round because for 3 minutes he fought using his old style. In his prime that was the way he fought, side to side head movement and combos, only he was much faster. A prime Tyson would have been too quick for Lewis.
I love these ... ( 3 weeks ago by Z1Z2Z5Z4)
I love these arguments, because there is always a difference of opinion. Tyson always fought larger men because he was short for a heavyweight. His knockouts came from close in. Don't forget Lewis was past his prime in this fight, so he was slowing down as well. Lewis was lighting quick in his youth. Watch some fights he had at age 20. Take a look at Lewis' reach as well - 7 ft.!! Add that to the speed he had (I stress had), and he would have jabbed a lunging Tyson into oblivion.
Tyson allways had ... ( 3 weeks ago by kuhne)
Tyson allways had trouble with taller opponents and he never faced anyone half as good as Lewis who was also tall. except when he eventualy faced Lewis though, sadly this was a very past his prime Tyson and a very IN his prime lewis so the fight was nowhere near close. it was a fucking beatdown... if both fighters were on their prime. I still give the fight to Lewis simply because Lewis has the most powerfull heavyweigh uppercut in recent memory and that happens to be perfect for mike's style

Its funny how a prime Tyson this a prime Tyson that, a prime tyson would ko Lewis, we never know because a prime Tyson avoided Lewis twice and once paid 4 million step aside money cause Lewis was his mandatory challenger. Its funny also because a lot of people still thought this old Tyson would beat Lewis down, Lennox Lewis is an all time great, one of the greatest skilled heaveyweight he was so savy and knowledgeable. He was a mad scienctist in this sports that is the sweet science.
Mike struggled to ... ( 2 weeks ago by pythonbyte)
Mike struggled to make an impression on Tony Tucker and 'Bonecrusher' Smith during his pomp. How would he have coped with a prime LL? Size power, ring smarts, awesome technique together encompass an arsenal very HW's in history could have dealt with, including Tyson.

Lewis had beaten so many champions in his lifetime, those who beat him, he beat him back. according to George Foreman, he will be remembered as the greatest heavyweight of all time soon.

Lennox is a true Jamaican rastaman... Too bad he dont fought for Jamaica... Even when Lewis speaks English his accent is not much like UK people... I think its not good to deny ur country where ur really from... But today many boxers do that like even Abraham was before 2 years ago figting for Armenia but now under Germany flag... Herbide Hide and Henry Akinwande are other examples who are in reality Nigerians... AM glad that Samuel Peter fight for his own native country!!!
