This Van Zandt is Donnie, the LS singer is his younger brother Johnnie. Original Skynyrd singer is the oldest brother Ronnie van Zandt ( RIP).

This is the "useless" Van Zant. His Dad got these guys recognized but they had to agree to go onstage with this loser. Notice the fucker's guitar isn't even plugged in. This is Don Barnes band plain and simple

    I hadn't untill now. very cool. I didn't realize they had albums in 1977 - 79. It was around 82" - 83" I bought this album.

Great video footage. Does anyone remember the song "little sheba" ? Late 80's. can't find that song anywhere. used to be played on the radio everyday back then.

  18. Sep 21, 2009 at 07:44 PM by alienhuman

dream on ... even Donnie has talent... and you? well... we will never know.

  19. Sep 20, 2009 at 01:22 PM by NickAden13

That guy with the hat would be the brother of the legendary Ronnie Van Zant.

  20. Sep 13, 2009 at 04:59 PM by evildead42069

i say the guy with the explorer should do all the soloing because he's sooo much better than the lead singer... and the guy with the hat sucks at life!!!

  21. Sep 13, 2009 at 11:39 AM by SteveHaynie

Donnie Van Zant can sing. In fact, he did all the vocals on the first album. Don Barnes emerged as the dominant singer when the radio hits started breaking through, but Donnie Van Zant still sings many of 38 Special's songs.

  22. Sep 12, 2009 at 10:23 PM by clmco35

I love that idiot with the hat that cant play guitar or sing... Oh darn it, hes the one Van Zant brother with no talent but they had to put him somewhere I guess. (ok this is what you do, just hold the guitar, act like you stum it, dance around a little like a fairy, and you will get paychecks) Wow I need a gig like that
