melollylolly, that is apalling she has some nerve making fun of people like that. Youre right they could be fans and Im sure that a lot of heavy people went to her movies and contributed to her wealth. I hardly ever look at movies anymore and thats good because I dont want to make those scum rich.

kirsten dunst is a little troll -with bad teeth- compared to GARBO- i was standing in front dunst one day at Whole Foods Market--she was with Jake Gylenhall--and she was making fun of a group of heavy women-laughing at them--i was NOT impressed with her at all-i am quite thin myself--but i have compassion--and people shouldn't DO things like that--those women might have been fans of hers--you just never know

There was just no one that had such facial movements. Such grace in movement with every facial expression. Watching Garbo in these unusual screen tests is like hearing beautiful music never heard before. A shame we were denied her beauty in later films that were never made.

When she smiles, her face is so incredibly beautiful, it takes your breath away. There will never be another Garbo.

In Hollywood, not in Europe. Fortunately in Europe "mature" actress are treated in a different way altough we're heavely americanized...I think Greta had to come back to Europe (Sweden, UK, France, Germany) for her carreer leaving USA...she was an european actress and she had an european mentality...!!!

Not the most beautiful but absolutely stunning here when she smiles :-) And about the age thing...isn´t that still the rules of hollywood? esp. among women.

At that time actress--and above all "divas" like Greta--were considered "old"by producers, critics and audience just after passing their 30s. It's a very sad thing compared to our times. Well, she showed guts and a huge courage to make a screentest at the "honorable" age of 45!!! People always looked at her as the young Greta Garbo of 15 years ago...and she feared that...I think she remained a beautiful lady at that time, no doubt about that. She's the most beautiful face of the XX century.

I quite liked "two faced woman". Especially the dancing scene. Garbo broke it down!!! I look it when her lips "droop". Its soo cute! I just want to hug her :) And when she flups with her hair- that is cute too :)

Well I found her CONTEMPORARY DOUBLE check Miss universe 1977 interview in the 5:50 minute, and grasp your air, when you see miss holland. She is the living portrait of young garbo!!!!! even her husky voice!!!
