I wish they made brutes tougher and made them take cover and perform aswell as the elites, But if there's one thing they got right it was the hammer weilding chieftains. Should have made the war chieftains really smart and deadly

actualy brutes ARE in reach. If you watch the Halo Reach Vidoc you will see a designer working on a brute chieftan.

We all tnink brutes are stupid and Elites are a challenge but brutes are punks and thus more funto kill.

do the brutes have energy shields in halo 3? in halo 2, fighting elites was real fun because you'd have to make sure u finished him before he could recharge his shields

I agree halo 3 brutes, particularly the chieftains are a pain in the keister particularly when you're fighting nine brutes, alone, on heroic, with a battle rifle and very little ammo left in it

the brutes joined the covenant b4 2525 which is when the war broke out between the humans and the covenant, the brutes were in the first battle between humans and covenant... they just added them late

I love it when the guy at the start says "The Brutes were ... they were added in a little too late, I think. We didn't have a chance to really flesh them out and so that's what we're doing for Halo 3!" Sounded so happy lol

Well, in Halo Wars you can have a Brute Chieftan as your leader and use him in combat, and you can also make Brute Choppers, driven by Brutes, as combat/scout vehicles.

Well, there were Brutes in Halo Wars, and Halo Wars is before Halo 1.

@DERPMAX these are all concept animations, they are not always put in the game, there are animations of brutes with folding shields and cool stuff like that.

2:56 to 2:59 is extremely sweet, god I wish you could be able to cut off limbs in halo
