umm dont think so..you had punchers like ernie shavers, ken norton, sonny linston. of course bruno didnt have more punching power then tyson. also, marciano had a strong punch as well along with joe lewis and jack johnson.

Bruno possesd the Thrid Strongest Punch in Havyweight history.... But He is not Build like Boxer...That Type of muscle will get you tried as hell in later rounds...Foreman,s Words...Froman him self sayd that tall boxer lose stamina faster,,,And we could see that in all Bruno fights...

  20. Sep 30, 2009 at 04:31 PM by fievel3782

plus, you do know that heavy bag training's purpose is power training? Muscle mass alone does not increase your power, it's the increase in technique and effectiveness of your punch that increases your power. Hence, you work on the heavy bag to improve this technique.

  21. Sep 30, 2009 at 04:16 PM by fievel3782

you kinda lose some credibility by stating Bruno is the 2nd most powerful puncher of all time.. he was good, but not that good. you can classify 2 types of power, Foreman type (heavy) or Tyson tyson (explosive) However, my point is that power by itself is useless unless you can use it effectively. So, let me rephrase, steroids might help, but it would help someone that didn't have sufficient muscle mass to begin with. *cough Holyfield moving to heavyweight

  22. Sep 30, 2009 at 09:42 AM by romfordlad07

actually, if you have the right muscle type (fast twitch) and do power training, not body building, then your muscle mass will increase ur power massively, look at bruno, he had the 2nd most powerful punch of all time, and he was the most muscelly heavyweight of all time (and champion) the reason foremen his so had was genetic and the pure size of the man. and yes, if you took the right steriod, you would increase ur power and speed massively, so it would help.

have you seen a recent picture of Tyson?

  24. Sep 22, 2009 at 01:01 AM by rockandstroll

Whatever happened to heavyweight boxing? each era had great legendary boxers, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Liston, Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Tyson there has been no great boxer in years, it sucks more than it ever has, I don't even bother heavyweight anymore.
