Calzaghe beat Hopkins. Didn't anyone see the fight? You can't throw 20 punches a round, still get tired and then pretend you've took low blows to catch your breath. Hopkins is crafty but he spoils fights and makes them boring. He didn't hit Joe hard once and Joe got straight back, big deal. When Joe fights anyone he gets called a slapper and told he'll definately lose, then he beats them up and gets told he's only ever fought bums.The only one that might break through is Pavlik, I bet they fight

Yeh, but I don't think anyone thought he would dominate so heavily. At some stages i alomost felt sorry for Roy who landed 12 jabs in the fight.
Roy said those pitty pat punches actually hurt. Joe will still get no recognition as a great, which is a shame because when you look at his hand speed and footwork he is pretty amazing.Who else can stand in front of RJJ and drop both hands like that?.
People are already saying Jones and Hopkins were passed it,yet last month Hopkins dominated Pavlik.

Man wasn't it an unreal fight. You wait till Ricky Hatton smashes up Malagnaggi, that's going to be a battering trust me.
Joe had his hands down by his side and was still in there quicker. I know Roy's older now but so is Joe, he's 37 very soon and doesn't fight like it. I'm sure Joe would deal with anyone out there right now, though everytime he does they just say "no that dude was a bum".
Lacy was gonna smash him up,so was Kessler,Bhop,Eubanks,Jones..........no one did though.

That fight sucked!I'm a fan of both. I just wish they would have faught when Roy Jones was in his prime. Roy has definately lossed all confidence since his first knockout.

You have to give Calzaghe a lot of credit he is unbeaten but I would have like to have seen him fight Jones and Hopkins 8 or so years ago. Despite Calzaghe not being much younger than Jones IMO Jones has been a shadow of himself since dropping down from winning the heavyweight championship. Jones also fought a lot better fighters and has much more wear and tear. 8 years ago I am sure Jones would have won. Calzaghe is smart he waits for his dangerous opponents to get well past their best.

You critics are leeches, you aint happy till you see someone completely fall from grace, you will always have another american ready to fight Joe as you try desperately to prove that JC isnt a true legend of the sport. guys, im a welsh guy, im a boxer and come from a big boxing family, my brother spares joe for fights and my uncle trained him a few years ago for a while... i like joe, i like roy. but if your honest, jones was passed it and would joe have stepped through the ropes with roy a few years ago! even though joe is of similar age, his boxing age is a lot younger as he has not had the hard fights. cant take it away from joe, very good fighter, massive heart and stamina and chin. well done mate!
