somebody postet here claiming he knew "ten tenors at his school much better than Potts." That is preposterously unbelievable. Consider this: a) why aren't THEY singing with Natasha Marsh, one of the greatest singers of all time? and b) Why is Natasha Marsh singing with Paul-- surely not because they're from the same country. A singer of her calibre would never risk her reputation with anyone less than absolutely first-rate and

They are a magnificent duo. It was a joy to view this video. I hope they will do other duets from opera and light opera and some of the classic musicals like Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific, Showboat, The Desert Song, etc.

Also, Pavarotti had several mics. in concerts in concert. In pro. opera houses the aucoustics are much better than Bath Opera House where Paul sang amatuer in lead roles for a hobby. People usually go to the academies to learn opera young age, they have to have the inclination, money and alot of luck. There are I am sure better raw talent out there than anyone famous, but like Paul, never pushed to be an opera singer, or indeed never wanted to be. Pauls album Passione shows singing now.

You really should go see Paul Potts live. Going to see him Royal Albert Hall next month. Paul was great when I saw him in Koln one year ago, but heard his voice has just got better and better. The trained ones you talk about at your academy if they have that special something extra that Paul has, I would like to hear them. Paul does reach the notes, and I have said on few comments, still work in progress. To say they are ten fold better than Paul, then must be tenfold better than best.

Both Szigeti and Heifetz are extremely good. Ok... All I'm saying is.... I hear tenors at my university that are ten fold better then Paul Potts. Where's there record deal?? It's only because he was on the TV show...

  24. Oct 22, 2009 at 05:36 PM by thenaj88

Opera singers don't use microphones usually. They could record a concert of him not using a microphone... I'm not saying noone uses mic's but they do mostly concerts with no amplification.

whatever you're smoking, I want some...either that or you have no ear for music at all. You're the type who says Erica Morini or Szigeti were no good because t hey weren't quite on a par with Heifetz
