it will significantly reduce stress yes. what i usually do if i'm punching a punching bag is do it raw with no tape or gauze until my hands get kind of soar, then i will wrap them up and continue to hit the bag for a while till they get soar again and that will be one session.

tell me one thing: punching the punching bag with only the gauze or the handwrap wont hurt our hand bones?

  10. Jul 28, 2009 at 12:33 AM by inakaimo

ah don't worry about it mate. everyone has their own way of wrapping.

  11. Jun 12, 2009 at 10:04 AM by DKsir

Yep, its kinda bad wrapping. the wrap is too short for any kind of support even if so. It does not really help but only helps in avoiding sprains

what a retard, ur not supposed to add an protection to the pinky, if u put it around the pinky it breaks ur pinky or damages it on impact

  13. May 23, 2009 at 04:00 PM by YoungERu

what a retard. he wrapped them so wrong. no protection on the pinky at all

  14. May 21, 2009 at 09:02 AM by ashieng

You're right. The purpose of wrapping your hands is for support and padding. Then put the gloves on. There are different methods of wrapping hands. Look at how many negative comments there are for this video.

I'm just getting into MMA and Muay Thai so please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the main fighting style for UFC Muay Thai and don't they use very protective gloves that have a lot of padding on the knuckles? I'm just asking this as a question but yeah I'd wanna know if I tried using this method to wrap my hands =S

noch schlechter gehts nicht wa ? Dulli ey

this may have knuckle protection, but if you are wearing it just for show (what idiot would do that? o.o) than i strongly suggest this, as there is little to no resistance, unlike the types where u padd the knuckles.

this is a terrible way to wrap, no knuckle protection.

  19. Apr 5, 2009 at 12:35 PM by B3NY4

some thai boxing have a rope for wrap. uhmmm,,,Muay Chai ya.

  21. Mar 17, 2009 at 08:28 AM by Gmidenrax

    very bad wrapping

  22. Feb 21, 2009 at 07:54 PM by Milkbarfc

Why is this so unecessarily complicated? For Muay Thai, just go for the traditional wrap. First padt the knuckles then wrap around the wrist. This is one of the worst grip I have ever seen....and I have been doing this for 15 years!

  23. Feb 21, 2009 at 03:52 AM by findmeifyoucan

that is the worst wrap ive seen

  24. Feb 15, 2009 at 01:41 PM by dplayford

Not really good for sparing or any kind of bag work, this kind of wrapping is more for show, where is the padding for the knuckles! I would say go for a longer wrap and create some padding for the knuckles then start the wrapping.

you missed between your middle and ring fingers plus no padding on the knuckles
