Hoscer is won the fight cuz he was the sponser he made most the money!
he's not only a champ,but he's very good looking
Fuck Oscar sell out. Didn't even fight back against pacquio.
Oscar is the man. The money got to him and he started getting slow and tired but pacquiao was still in his prime best pound for pound hes fast and everything. Oscar was awesome back than. His amateur record was like 221-5 thats crazy and hes very good fighter i love him i look up to oscar de la hoya
well manny pacquiao really defeated de la hoya, It was kind of sad
So it then still kind of falls back on the parents. Too many parents fail to take responsibility for the mistakes of their children, even if that responsibility is only partial.
But all his parents did was give him a roof over his head and food on the table. Believe me, I have seen it first hand. If all parents do, is provide the material necessities and do not nurture the minds and souls of their children, they will not grow up with the right sense of responsibility. If his parents never taught him to abstain from sex out of marriage, or to responsible with his relationships, then the only way he is going to learn is through trial and error.
Oscar's parents stayed married and committed to him and his brother and sister until his mother's unfortunate death. Once he became famous, Oscar proceeded to knock up women and not take care of his children, case closed. He may have supported them financially, but there's more to parenthood than writing a check for someone . . . Again, I was an Oscar fan but lost some respect for him after this book because he never once manned up and said, "I was wrong". Who will he blame for his last loss
Don't tell me that parents not being involved enough doesn't give someone an excuse. It sure as heck explains why they go down the wrong path. If you weren't raised to have proper relationships with women, you are not going to do the right thing.
Are you kidding me? If you read the book, you'll see that none of his losses "were his fault" (although he was the one in the ring). Alcazar and The Professor were good enough to help him win titles in 4 weight classes, so he shouldn't blame them. Oscar knocked up two women out of wedlock and basically ignored them (esp. his daughter Atiana) for years, just ask Shanna Moakler. Forget that shit about his parents not being involved, that's no fucking excuse.
It's not all about blame. Many believe that Oscar beat Trinidad, even Trinidad thinks so himself. And who said that he is a terrible father to his other children? Some of his trainers weren't very good, and both of his parents were not involved enough in his life to give him good guidance.
I'm a big Oscar fan, going back to his Olympic days, and I was disappointed by the book. Those who read it will see that he blames everyone (trainers, friends, parents, etc.) for his shortcomings without ever manning up and saying, "I was wrong. I was a horrible father to three of my 5 children. I lost to Trinidad because I was tired," etc, etc,
No offense to you, but did you see his wife?? She is smokin'.
i wanna get this book it seems interesting
Pause at 4:21 is oscar a real gay?
Oscar kinda has an accent.
Dela Hoya vs Cotto hopefully Cotto beats Margarito.
bah, i want the book!
yeah he discusses boxing and his personal life
great, i enjoyed it as well
so his book is about his childhood and his experiences in boxing right?
I finished the book, it's a great read!
