didnt ray win " ... ( 1 month ago by mandrilla)
didnt ray win "point" wise??he may have fooled the judges a bit by connecting flurries at 30 seconds left of each round but if he got the most points then hes the winner
watch from 9 on ... ( 1 month ago by lowmiller01)
watch from 9 on when the rounds start leonard hits hag 4-6 times to his one, that is why he won,he wont quit...he keeps punching the whole fight.hag quit throwing punces cause his arms were too heavy, ray outsmarted him then came back when he was tired, same as duran he quit. ray was the better fighter,at least that fight....
Are you blind ... ( 1 month ago by blueman1939)
Are you blind aswell as stupid Leonarn out boxed outclassed and out witted

Did Leonard hurt/ ... ( 1 month ago by remack40)
Did Leonard hurt/knock out Hagler hell no, he ran like a bicth the whole fight, threw weak punches that looked good, but in the end Marvin was robbed big time,I agree with jensen428 1000%!
Ray's plan was to ... ( 1 month ago by longtalltexan63)
Ray's plan was to do nothing and not get hurt and then at the end he would throw little flurries and win the round. I guess it worked, but in the old days, it would get no respect. He never took the fight to Hagler. That's what you should do to beat the champ.
hagler was robbed ( 4 weeks ago by jimbob1969)
hagler was robbed
What you guys ... ( 4 weeks ago by bscottdp)
What you guys forget is Ray was a natural 147 pounder moving up to 160 and had not fought in 5 years. I dont recall Floyd Mayweather going to to toe with Oscar. Hagler was the natural bigger man,so naturally your going to box. What made Ray's performance impressive was doing this after a 5 year layoff against one of the top 3 160 pounders ever. Keep in mind this is NOT prime Sugar Ray Leonard. His prime was 1979-1982
im a suger ray ... ( 3 weeks ago by MrsRoman4eva)
im a suger ray leonard fan but i think suger ray lost this fight ,im also a hagler fan
nahhh!marvelous ... ( 3 weeks ago by rumblebee1975)
nahhh!marvelous marving hagler is the greatest middleweight of all time. sugar ray, thomas hearns and roberto duran were far behind marvelous marving hagler period
I love the title of ... ( 3 weeks ago by lurcherdog13)
I love the title of this video - 'Sugar Ray Fights Marvin Hagler'
Sugar Ray runs away from Marvin Hagler was more appropriate!! Appalling 'decision' by the judges with Hagler four rounds in front easily... Hagler at least showed some class by walking away from boxing after the lousy 'decision'. HAGLER - greatest middleweight EVER!!
Running away, are ... ( 3 weeks ago by OrinocoJim)
Running away, are you kidding? He was boxing in a smart way. Did you expect he was gonna slug it out with Hagler? Still Hagler was the better man.
He slugged it with ... ( 3 weeks ago by lurcherdog13)
He slugged it with some..but yes, slugging it with Hagler would not be a good idea! He still 'avoided conflict' with Hagler & it is a fight after all.
People talk about Leonard being past his best, but Hagler was also a few years past his prime, only having two fights prior in last three years. The real Sugar Ray (Robinson) could do all of what Leonard did plus stand toe to toe & fight.
I saw in Montreal ... ( 3 weeks ago by tranmere789)
I saw in Montreal Olympics that this buddy would be a great champ in future.
Ya sugar ray ... ( 2 weeks ago by KingOfTheStreets18)
Ya sugar ray Robinson was a good well rounded boxer but leonard was good at boxing not slugging so he did his best with what he had wich made him great and deserving of the nam "Sugar"
Sin duda fue un ... ( 2 weeks ago by ortspepe)
Sin duda fue un combate memorable, pero gano con mucha claridad Hagler
what is boxing ... ( 1 week ago by 13lend)
what is boxing without dodging and evading the punches! some people are saying that you WANT to get hit?
won it by 4 rounds ... ( 6 days ago by seanboweny)
won it by 4 rounds LOL, he virtually gift wrapped the 1st 5 rounds for Leonard i dont know if anoybodys told u but if u win 6 rounds of a fight u cannot lose & Leonard already had 5 in the bag going into the second half of tha fight
i hate these bitter Hagler fan the guy beat up on Welterweights ,people criticise B Hopkins for this LOL
I saw this fight as ... ( 6 days ago by allfiveny)
I saw this fight as a kid and I'm watching it now, and I feel the same way about it, Sugar Ray was more flashy but Hagler won this fight.
what fight did you ... ( 6 days ago by lurcherdog13)
what fight did you watch? American judges normally prefer the agressor. I had Hagler 4 rounds in front..what the 'judges' scored was another matter....
However fans of either fighter have argued the result for a couple of decades now. Leonard never wanted Hagler in his prime & both fighters were in decline at the point they met.
At least Hagler showed some class by walking away after knowing he had been cheated denying greedy promoters the expected rematch his ego would have wanted.
ATTENTION! ... ( 2 days ago by Blankfrack)
ATTENTION! Orinocojim is a sexual predator. He is following me about youtube, making disgusting sexual propositions toward me (I'm a man by the way). Ban this looney immediately!
I was a fan of ... ( 2 hours ago by lurcherdog13)
I was a fan of Leonard pre-fight & wanted Leonard to win. However, I don't like seeing a guy cheated & Hagler landed more blows hence I had him well ahead. I became a real fan of Halger for the dignified way he handled himself when clearly cheated.
Sadly though these two never met in their prime. Leonard was coming back & Hagler had become fairly inactive. It was always Leonard who did the avoiding as Hagler was a real lean mean machine in his prime..the best I have seen.
