Ezzard Charles was a superb fighter with great heart, physique, punching power and technical skills. But as usual, and in the face of refined expert opinion, Marciano made a mockery of all of that.

Yeah but Charles was an overachiever. He fought amatuer at 147 and turn pro at middle where he couldn't get shot at middle title. He then moved up to Lt heavy afterwards moving up too heavy. ROck was always a heavy so he had the advantage over Charles.

everytime i watch charles its like im seeing him for d 1st time in how im constantly very impressed wit his skills.. he dont look to sharp here though as far as speed is concerned.. u can clearly tell he was past his prime in addition to his best weight

I would have to disagree of Rock makinga mockery of Charles . Though Charles wasn't in his natural weight and was past prime he still should of gotten the decision in first fight. The former middle weight was robbed.

Look flat feet, and he is so slow for a man so small. I would give you a boxing lesson i know that. I train 3 hours a day.
