is there a point somewhere? d 80s r about as good an era for HWs as today is. its a bridge period. there were some good fighters but d division was very shalow. dats it today, wlad is good, but nobody else even gets in shape to fight, its embarassing to watch. dat dont mean wlad sucks, it means d division duz. look at peter being looked at as a threat just cuz hes physicly strong. but hes fat, slow n has no skills at all. in any other era hed be a journeyman

How do you know ? Prove it! The guy used to beat up cans in his prime. Got ridiculed by an overrated Muhammad Ali. (talented , but a lot of shit talking for sure. Let me tell you something about Foreman. The guy got beat in his prime by the ultra one dimensional Jimmy Young. Jimmy fuckin' young. (not to mention that overrated bum even found a way to go to a decision even against Ali). Foreman vs Young , that was in 77. They're all fucking overrated. Yes Klitschko is a technically good boxer with a good jab, but he is very limited. He has a one dimensional style and wouldn't be able to compete with great heavyweights. In saying that, he seems like a very genuine and respectful guy and is above all other heavyweights at the moment. But the likes of Valuev, Ibragimov, Liakovich, Maskaev etc. are not worth mentioning - they are total bums!

I am new to the boxing scene (sports in general by the way) and I always wondered why isn't Valuev isn't the greatest. Mass. Height. Power. I was shocked to hear him lose the title (to Ibragimov was it?). You read my mind when you said "He has a one dimensional style...". This is exactly how I feel. The reason Americans are not dominating is because more competition is in boxing. FACT. Americans can compete like always but now the soviet bloc is also. Lame excuse about the NFL and NBA.
