AaronCee, you are right, nowadays nobody would ever walk around with silver dollars in their pocket, especially children. But President Hinckley was referring to a time long ago, when people actually DID walk around with silver dollars in their pockets.

I am not a member of your Church....but I know the Heart of Our Lord...this story is a pure reflection of the Heart of Jesus Christ. The next time I see the young Pioneers walking from door to door...I will seek them out and ask them to share the New Restoration with me...I am so very hungry for the Truth. God Bless you all!

probably fed his family, got medicine for his wife. Hence the "wife being ill, and children with no bread." 2 dollars back in the great depression time went a long ways.
