The cat is loving this! She is gentle and the cat is staying put and re-engaging her. Also when it bites her it is not even playing as hard as it could; and he follows her! I adopted a kitten that was very abused; he feels happy and safe now, but best of all he feels safe enough to come "attack" us and play box back and forth. If we don't box back, he sulks!

Although I completely agree that the cat here is not enjoying this, some cats (that are very used to being petted), DO lower their ears when being petted, as it can be more comfortable. Of course they ALSO do it when attacking.
