IBO light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver (27-4, 19 KOs) claimed the IBF title held by Clinton Woods (41-4-1, 25 KOs) with a one-sided unanimous decision on Saturday night at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. There was little drama in the bout as Tarver systematically outpointed Woods, but never came close to stopping him. Woods' performance was disappointing as he never got untracked and rarely was in position to inflict damage. Scores were 116-112, 117-111, 119-109.

to be fair to clinton, he fought poorly but he had a lot of heart and kept coming forward. no matter where the brits fight they will always have good support and their fans will travel to watch them. i can't say the same for the americans.
