the problem is most of the time boxers are not in their top at the same time. In 86-88 Tyson would have DESTROYED Holyfield. After 1990, Holyfield would have beaten Tyson. After 1995 and prison time, Holyfield almost destroyed Tyson. And its the same thing, even worse with Lewis. In the 80's Tyson would have RAPED Lewis. but obviously in 2002 Lewis was too big and too good and Tyson was way too old and had lost too much skills.

strongbadassman, I think your allegations are based upon a misalignment of cerebrum constuct. Your assumptions, too, seem based on something else, perhaps associations (like "babyface") that are far removed from what most people refer to as reality. I suggest that you limit yourself to pure observation, without commenting. The world will be a better place under those circumstances, at least when it comes to assessments of reality.

tyson looked good physically but past his peak, but so was holyfield, the real truth is tyson was on decline before prison anyone who watches boxing could see it agianst razor ruddock mike looked poor in those fights and i think he would have lost to holyfield then as well but prime for prime iwould be awesome

Dead on.. Once firing Rooney and hiring those "friends" to do his training really messed his boxing up, he got knocked down in sparring after he fired his corner

absolutely agree. Tyson wasn't tyson after prison. Im gonna' go on a limb and say Tyson wasn't Tyson after the Spinks fight. He fired his corner, stopped jabbin,movin' his head, boxing... That's when his decline began.

Certain martial arts displayed in mma are sub-par compared to the practitioners who only train in that specific fighting style. I don't think any mma fighter has a punch worthy of world class boxing. The level of kickboxing is also not particularly impressive compared to K1.

God you don't get guys in this type of shape anymore except for the klitschkos and Haye. Tyson is under 6 ft he is well over 200lbs and the guy is still ripped and natural. That is dedication

I think that Mike Tyson was the most entertaining boxer to watch. Now I don´t watch much boxing only K-1 sometimes but mostly MMA.

Maybe he thinks that everything that isn´t boxing is boring. I do agree with you. There´s a lot of boxing in MMA. In MMA there are muay thai, karate, boxing, wrestling and jiu jitsu etc.
