I dont know why people are hating Everyone knew this was a tune up fight and yall got what was expected. I really think people just hate on De La Hoya because hes done wonders for the sport and for his pocket. Even Mayweather has about 1/8 of De La Hoyas bank and always tries to hate.

I think De La Hoya will beat mayweather and if he loses he wont be beaten up cause like we saw in the first fight even though mayweather won he didnt really beat on de la hoya. And if DLH loses and isnt beaten up he will fight Cotto in a blood bath fight that will retire him as a great fighter that never backed down from nobody including the guy Mayweather ducked and dodged. De La Hoya will retire as the peoples champ and will retire a billionare probably two thing Mayweather will ever achieve.

wow forbes definetly did better then you think. this is a tuneup fight and people are like oscar was great blah blahj. he was fucked up on the face, ya he won but he still had a little trouble with this guy forbes. cmon. there were all close rounds. oscar wont have it like that against floyd.

i wouldnt say that, if u watch an interview he did after the 1st fight, he said back then that he wouldnt mind a rematch. hes after the money at the end of the day - it makes the fight irresistable for him.

Still Forbes is a contender fighter + he didnt even win the series, contenders should be beat up like Cotto-Gomez, Gomez is bigger then Forbes, did rgeat in the contender and retired living legend Gatti.
Forbes lost to Demitrust Hopkins and thats it, he did pretty good in contender but he gave Oscar a hellaf a fight.

im not impressed at all with this fight u give de la hoya all this praise for fighting forbes whose not even tryin to win the fight he just wants to get paid and still de la hoya won but he planned on stopping him and couldnt this fight could have ended very different if stevie would have been more aggressive but they probably would have gave him the victory anyway(de la hoya)

i dont have anything against de la hoya but this fight didnt do much for selling his rematch with mayweather im not convinced and i wouldnt want to see another mayweather/de la hoya fight, this fight looks almost de la hoya called stevie up and said i need u 2 take a dive but make it look good 4 my fans, if u do good its alot of money in it 4 u,but steve forbes doesnt have vey strong credentials in the first place so why would he think this would be a goog prelude to a rematch.NOT IMPRESSED!!!

I acquiesce that de la hoya didn't knock this guy out because de la hoya is a promotor now straight up business man. My boy oscar is going to retired soon. It was obvious that oscar was toying with him because he wants forbes under his wing.
