there is no genre called "alternative music" ... look it up. but i agree even alternative rock is very vague a description of an artists sound.

not really... like any other art it has genres that are well defined. arguing without being educated is pointless.

i grew up in the 90's, and i love bebop. i hate n'sync. also, arguing about genre is sort of pointless. it's much more a marketing convention than an artistic one.
