Though everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and you're right, the 10th anniversary Javert is ridiculous, the entire 10th anniversary cast is beautiful, but Valjean's been kept in confinement for 20 years. He's gonna be a little old after living a life, and then being in a prison for 20 years, and then creating a life after that. Not only that, but Colm Wilkinson is God himself. Haha. Though I will give it up to John Owen-Jones. He's great as well.

Lol No its not that. I live in a horrible neighborhood. Nothing but gangs, drugs, theft and murder and at every corner, so its pretty believable that Les Miserables doesn't come up a lot in conversations around here lol.

I like Quast's delivery of the first verse. He has a smile on his face. Just like Javert in the book when he confronts Valjean, where he is just there smiling that he finally has the right man cornered. Quast did his homework for the role.

Is that Colm Wilkinson??? My oh my... this is just the most fantastic, most moving music... I am far from a sentimental... but I can't help but sympathize so strongly with both of these characters... I cry every time... Especially with these amazing voices!! WOW!
