I use windows and Linux, and the first time I got on ubuntu and used the packet manager I could not believe how much faster and efficient it was then downloading with Windows. I can't believe Windows got mainstream. Linux 4 life.
If this becomes popular enough, you can bet on the installation becoming something like: "sudo apt-get install slimrat" or "go to the package manager, search for slimrat, double-click it, press install" which is the typical way to install stuff. Right now it's just a script some guy made, which is why there's a few hoops to jump through to install it. Look for jdownloader if you want an easier install.
calm down dawg, this is a rare package. Most of the time is thru the package manager.
This is why linux will never go mainstream. 5 min and a more then four clicks to install a rapidshare downloader. why don't these people make installable packages???

How'd you make your file browser display icon only, without text?
I hope they get support for megaupload soon. When I download a file from megaupload, I use wget in case my browser crashes.
