I think your mistaking his generating torque for dropping his guard. Muay Thai fighters drop one hand to help generate more power from the hips and also maintain balance. If done properly your footwork should keep you out of punch range.

If it's his first fight that's a little harsh guys, he didn't know any better.
Good motivation man, I hope you did well, but there's always more work to do: The hands have got to stay up all the time, the foot has to retract as fast if not faster than it comes out and if you ever put your fist out make it a solid punch, pawing at the opponent is a great way to let a good opp
onent inside your guard. Still - props for having the motivation to do it

it's never too late to start training. if you expect to make it pro starting at 20, you just need to work that much harder than if you started at 15. it's all up to you, how hard you train, and how seriously you take your training.

All round training is the best for street fighting, need to also have a ground game incase the guy your fighting is heavyer and stronger than you, doesnt matter how quick you are or hard you hit if you get charged like a steam train, Mauy Thai is awsome though

to duck in muay ... ( 3 months ago by stevensontour)
to duck in muay thai is too catch a square knee, most pros follow with knees and elbow as they do most damage, unlike boxing ducking moves u out of a punch/elbow and into a rising knee. although impressive combo's xD

It's good training, but he doesn't look like a pro fighter. I'm sure higher-level amateurs at his weight would give him a run for his money.
