Boxing Info: Global Warfare

FIGHT WEEK IS HERE “GLOBAL WARFARE” COMES TO HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA NEXT WEEK

They’ve come from around the world – fighters from Nigeria, Ireland, Russia, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the United States – and on December 15th, at the Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, Florida, these warriors will put it all on the line in a show aptly titled “Global Warfare’.

But before the battles commence, fight fans and media will get a final chance next week to see these boxers in the days leading up to this highly-anticipated event.

Monday, December 12th – Don’t miss your opportunity to meet Ireland’s John Duddy in a rare South Florida public appearance at Kavanagh and Morrissey’s Bar and Grill located at 1280 S Pine Island Road (at the southeast corner of Peters Road and Pine Island Road) at 7.30pm in Plantation, Florida. He will be there signing autographs, giving away shirts, and promoting his upcoming fight on the Global Warfare card. Tickets will also be available on location and the first 15 people to buy a pair of tickets to the event will receive a John Duddy Boxing DVD of his last fight.

A press conference will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, December 13th at the Live in Seminole Paradise (in front of Hooters) at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. All fighters will be available for interviews and photo opportunities.

The weigh-in for the card will take place at 5pm on Wednesday, December 14th in the 4th floor VIP Room at the Hard Rock Live Arena at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

In the “Global Warfare” main event on December 15th , top heavyweight contender Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter returns to the ring for the first time since his epic battle with Wladimir Klitschko in September to face tough Robert Hawkins in a ten round contest.

In the co-featured bout of the evening, imposing heavyweight contender Lance Whitaker lives up to his desire to fight only the best in the world when he tackles unbeaten Russian bomber Sultan Ibragimov in a bout that will undoubtedly produce a future challenger for one of the four world champions in boxing’s glamour division.

Also featured in separate bouts will be unbeaten Irish sensation John Duddy, top cruiserweight contender Dale Brown, and rising stars Michael Marrone and Jesus Pabon.

Tickets are on sale now for “Global Warfare”. They are priced at $150, $100, and $50. For more information please call 954.523.3309 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.

Doors open at 6:30pm and the first bell rings at 7:30pm. Suggested retail price for the pay-per-view broadcast is $19.95.
