1. He has a great chin, but we know he can get hurt which takes alot away from people being intimidated by his style.
2. I noticed when he moves in actually boxing he takes tiny steps and a fast footed person could elude him. Or he runs in and is open for the opponent to hit him comming in, and last but not least if he does to throw a leaping hook or cross he is severly off balance which is very dangerous against the guys he wants to fight (mayweather, ODLH even Cotto).
3. He does body/inside work with the best of them, but because he relies on leaning on the person he is just asking to be tied up everytime he comes in or he does the holding himself... I think he should watch Castillo vs. Corrales and realize that fighting on the inside isn't just about leaning on the person.
4. I noticed he could be a better outside boxer... maybe if he got Buddy or somebody he could be alot better on the outside. He doesn't need to get rid of his trainer, but a different point of view for how to fight would definitely help his chances against the best guys in the sports.
positive things I saw.
1. Could throw more punches if he didn't get tied up or did the tying himself, but he still has tremendous work rate.
2. He really gets power behind his hooks, and looks devastating to the body if he would have kept it up all night.
3. He has a fighter's heart which is as important as anything in the sport.
4. I believe he will make the most of what happened from the fight, and is smarter than most men who box, and will adapt better against the slick american boxers.
5. He has a the second best stamina I've seen out there still fighting.
Collazo's stamina was everybit as good as Hattons.....Remember it was hatton holding on at the end of the fight....
It feels good to be back home.
