Default I think collazos style would trouble most at 147

I think what people are forgetting is yes collazo put up more than a good fight and yes ricky won butdidnt look good against a relativly unknown fighter. And maybe collazo is or was relativly unknown but this a boxer with serious skills and i see him going further!! but maybe collazo isnt as knownas he should be because of his style lets face it most boxers would rather side step fighting a guy like collazo than fight him and look bad. but in rickys defence this was his first fight at 147 and in front of main stram boxing fans in the states and i think he done himself proud not only did he show heart but he showed courage, but he also showed it will take somthing special to take him out so what if he got rocked in the 12th but we forget these went toe to toe every round and i think the 147 weight took its toll on ricky in this particular bout, so i say this fight worked out well for ricky because belive me when i say ricky will come back stronger

collazo wouldn't trouble most at welterweight, just coz he troubled hatton, and you said it yourself it was hattons 1st fight at welter he was bound to be troubled, i am a ricky hatton fan but by seeing the fight i would say mayweather would probably tko collazo and zab would probably KO him

Collazo held a title belt and had only lost once (I think). I am sure that he would trouble 'most' welterweights !!

I think Collazo is a very good boxer, and i for one underestimated him admittedly. He could be very competitive with most welters i rekon.

Collazo seems like a good boxer, but not a great one. If he was at all consitent, he would have held Hatton off with the jab and kept moving. Instead, every other round he decided to stand right in front of Hatton.

The HBO announcers said that Hatton would take rounds off, and would quit going forward. In truth, those were the rounds where Collazo just decided to punch and move.

I didn't even think he looked particularly awkward.

His record and level of opposition are two diferent things. Yeah he only lose once but three fights ago he was fighting a guy who was 7-41. 4 fights ago he fought a guy 1-1. Collazo was not a world class welter. He was a paper champ who stole the belt from another paper champ. And thats what makes hatton look so bad. Just the other day he was fighting D- opponents now hes making lb4lb look bad. Its not that easy. Face it hatton was a little exposed in that fight.
Step up so I can put you down

    john ruiz held a title.

hatton is the only top class oponent he faced, people dont get it, people think we are haters or think that hatton lost, no he didnt lose the reason we are saying what we are is because he was troubled by a guy who faced d class oponents and for the first time faced a good oponent
