This Saturday night brings another anticipated fight in the boxing world as the veteran meets the youngster when Marco Antonio Barrera takes on Rocky Juarez from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. For Juarez it will be the first major step up in his career, and Barrera has a lot riding on this match with a potential mega fight in November.

Here's a look at what both will have to do to win, and what both will have to avoid to win:

    *Marco Antonio Barrera*

What he needs to do to win:

1- Fight his fight. When Barrera fights his fight he is one of the best in the world.

2- Fight smart- Don't get into any unneeded brawls against the younger Juarez. Barrera is a very underrated defensive fighter, and this would be a good fight to show off these skills.

3- Let Juarez get a taste for his power early. Juarez is at his best when he's able to press the action. If Barrera could sting him early this could discourage Juarez and make him a little more passive.

    What he needs to avoid:

1- Avoid looking ahead- Barrera has a date already set up in November for a big fight, possibly with Pacquiao or Morales. Juarez is not a fighter who should be looked passed. Barrera needs to do what his promoter did two weeks ago and take care of business and worry about November starting May 21st.

2- Don't fall into the trap that Erik Morales fell into last year- With a big fight with Manny Pacquiao looming last year, Morales like Barrera fought a former Olympian in Zahir Raheem at the Staples Center and lost. Barrera needs to avoid what happened to his longtime rival.

3- Avoid Juarez's left hook- Not that Juarez's right hand is anything to sneeze at, but the left hook has been the favorite choice of destruction in his young career.

4- Getting into ill advised slugfests- Not saying that Barrera shouldn't brawl at all, just not at every opportunity. Utilize his defensive skills a little more, because Juarez is fairly one dimensional.

    *Rocky Juarez*

What he needs to do to win:

1- Don't let the hype of his first big time pro fight be too overwhelming.

2- Find a home for his left hook, and stick to his body attack which he has been known for.

3- Watch a tape of Barrera's fight with Manny Pacquiao, because Juarez has some similarities to Pacquiao, he's just not as devastating. Try to break Barrera down.

4- Induce Barrera into brawling- This is risky because Barrera is a good brawler, but Juarez is younger and has been in far less wars and brawling would serve him well.

What he needs to avoid on Saturday:

1- Getting over hyped. This is a big moment, a huge fight for still such a young kid. Stay focused and let Barrera try to over impress with a big fight looming. Avoiding being too much in awe of the moment and in awe of who he's fighting.

2- A focused and dedicated Barrera- When Barrera fights this way he's hard to beat.

3- Chasing Barrera- Juarez is an effective counter puncher; if he can get Barrera to come to him he has a better chance at an upset.

You've gotta drink if you live out in Korea!!

The TV hurts your ears and BBC news does tend to grate after a bit!! We do get fights but it seems to be a lottery as to what they will cover. The Korean commentary sucks. They dont let you listen to the corners between rounds, they speak over the top. Very annoying!!
