Default Just watched Eubank against Carl Thompson II

It was the first time I had seen Eubank fight. And for everyone sayin he was shot and old in this fight, I was surprised to see that he was only 31 and still looked pretty good. He did very well early, but faded and his eye swelled shut. This leads me to ask a few questions....How old was Chris when Calzaghe beat him? And WTF is the deal with those gay entrances him and Thompson had? it was like something out of a Rocky movie.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Eubank was 31 when he fought Calzaghe.

Sucker was ripped against Thompson I'll give him that. Looks like the Watson fight was in 91?? So after 91 he was never the same?

He was never the same after the Benn fight in 1990, that fight took A LOT out of him, plus he was humbled and brought down to earth, the brutalness of the Benn fight is what caused him to hate boxing most and fight only for money (not giving a F*** about glory)..

With that dramtic entrance and his resilancy in that Thompson fight, I think he was still interested in the glory, but maybe not. Sucker had a messed up nose too, been broke more than a few times.

A great performance against Thompson considering he moved up from Super Middle to Cruiser for that fight

The Calzaghe and Thompson fights were about earning respect

It was a bit lame tho
Most people who try and make a spectacle out of their ring entrances come off silly to me though - Naseem Hamed, Floyd Mayweather, Roy Jones, Joe Calzaghe, Ricky Hatton, Eubank all need to be rethinking their ring entrances and the old shit music they come in with

And thats not biased at all cause I love every fighter on that list, some things in this world are gay and cannot be helped

Tyson had the best ring entrances. That one against Spinks was bad ass. I was diggin the halloween sound he came into.

Eubank was a parody of himself, he did it for fun and attention.

It came to a climax for the Calzaghe fight, on his way in to the arena for the fight he walked up and down the street in his tweed judphurs signing autographs then notices the cmera filming and swaggers up to it as if it were a mirror and adjusts his tie then does his panther roar

They then played "I am what I am" over it
