Thread: Whats up with Felix Trinidad?!

I heard a while back that he was thinking of fighting de la hoya but obviously Hoya is not looking that way .. Has any one heard anything about a come back or is he really Retired forever

he's shot....honestly he is nearing mid card status at this point of his career....not good enough to hang with the top 5 and can no longer be a headliner....he's still better than 90% of the people in his division but it's the other 10% that have all the titles.....and he can no longer beat them....

He can still compete at a high level, he looked wonderful against Ricardo Mayorga who was never knocked down in a fight up until that point. He looked confused vs Winky Wright even though Winky never hurt him in anyway, Winky's game plan was perfect. Don Felix retired and his son followed suit. Even though Trinidad is my second favorite fighter of all time (Pernell Whitaker 1) I was disgusted with his ego, and walking away from the ring after his two losses. Makes me believe that he may have retired back in 99 if they would have given ODH that decision, then we would have missed brilliant fights from him, he could have dominated 154 from 00 to present.

trinidad needs to work on a better defence, thats his only weakness he is a offencive fighter thats it, if he smacks you good u are in retreat for the remander of the fight but when he fights ppl who can stick and move he is a dead duck beacude they can counter him. :P

Perfect statement. He is a seek and destroy fighter. But then again that's what makes him so fun to watch. But fighters counter him easily because of that mentality, what's amazing is that he is so skinny yet he hit's so hard, where does the power come from. If he could have hit Winky he could of knocked him out, but the thing is he coulden't. Duran Vs Trinidad would have been epic.

Trinidad has done enough for boxing. He should be allowed to enjoy his retirement

Trinidad needs to fire DADDY and find a real trainer that knows something about boxing and can bring up his technical skills also he needs some one to Tone up his body and work on speed training some thing he problem has never done with his dad.. please come back TITO train at KRONK GYM with STEWARD LOL

He would have to learn English to train with Steward. Plus his father retired right after the Winky fight and son followed suit

may be he could get a translator they did it for Mayorga

actually no he wouldn't Steward trained Chavez for a while and to this date Chavez can't speak english to save his life.

If he was gonna improve on defense then he would have done it right after he lost to Hopkins. But his father telling him he would always blow someone away with power really took away from him learning, if you can take his power and outbox him then he...loses

he should hire PBF Uncle that might do soething interesting.


I know that is not happening but can you imagine a Trinidad with his heart Power and PBF's Ability.
