top Pride fighters make 1-2 mill, and top ufc fighters are in the 300-500,000. The thing is that UFC does 3-5 fight contracts so its hard to gauge what a fighter is actually making per fight. I'm not sure if Pride does 3-5 fight contracts or if it pays its guy per fight

I always assumed it was per fight that Pride fighters get paid, since you always see them waving around a big check after they win a match

Pride is known to pay its fighters well. Its top fighters are being paid at the 1million mark or so which is why majority of the world top MMA fighters compete in Pride.

UFC, apart from Chuck Lidell, they pay very shit!

Against Royce Gracie, Matt Hughes their longest reigning champ, only got paid $60,000 which is nothing for a fighter of his calibre, whereas Royce got paid $1.2 million or so.

Even Rich Franklin admitted he doesnt get paid much as a champ but enough to make a living and so on.

Dana White is a dick cus he uses the argument "u fight cus ur a fighter, not for money" and basically how much u get paid shudnt bother u, god knows what the fuck hes been smoking.

I dont think Pride salaries have ever been confirmed. It was rumored Fedor made a mil a fight, but he denied it.

UFC, however, is a different story. Nevada's Athletic commission requires the UFC to make a fighter pay public. And let me tell you, they dont make shit. Thats why fighters have so many sponsors. Free Gear, Free supplements, etc. If you google "UFC Fighter pay", you'll find links to most of the recent ufc matches, with fighter pay, and usually their win bonus, too

Wanderlei mentioned his wages are almst near the million mark. I know when Yoshida and Ogawa fought they got paid over a mill each. Im sure fedor gets paid around tht much also. It is a fact thought Pride pays a lot more than UFC. Their closest competitor when it comes to fighter wages is prob K-1.

Actually, I honestly think K1 might even pay more, although I COULD be wrong about that. But yeah, its never been any secret that Pride fighters get paid a LOT more than UFC.

Haha...sadly enough, I've actually seen that statistic before, and it's not very much at all. I think absolute tops (and this is very high end) about 1k per event. Remember...undercard fighters are getting paid 2k to fight, so I cant see the ref making more money than a fighter in a pro event, undercard or not. Plus, these guys travel and do events every weekend for most of the major organizations, as well as some not so major ones. Not bad just to referee a fight.

Nope...I'm a full time security guard (unarmed) at a chemical plant. Forty hours a week at $8.5/hr. That's 340 a week gross pay, if my math is good, which will give me 1360 a month gross. Winds up being like 1100 a month net pay. It's terrible wages, but its just a stepping stone into the world of law enforcement. Hopefully I'll be getting on with the local cops in the next month or two, which will take me from about 17000 a year gross with no benefits, to 34000 a year with full health, dental, and life insurance and two weeks vacation and one week sick pay a year.

If I am correct, entry level fighters in cage fighting, not UFC directly, make approx $800-1000 for a 3-5min round fight.

UFC level might give a little more than that for fighters, but not a ton...

I dont think top fighters are getting 300-500k a fight though....UFC couldnt afford it....

PRIDE is about the same except I think they do pay more per fight than UFC does...They have a bigger draw than UFC does...

Thats just from what I see...

    Good Luck,

    Good Luck,
I didn't mean 300-500K a fight I meant a year. I know I heard that chuck got a fat signing bonus the last time he resigned a contract with UFC

    Good Luck,
Its a known Fact tht UFC pay peanuts.

I know that Prides top fighters ie Emelianenko, Wandy, etc are being paid almost neat the million mark.

Yoshida and Ogawa were both Paid over a 1million for their fight back at the NYE show.
