Default Winner of JMM's next fight to fight Harrison

If Scott Harrison wants any motivation to return to action he needs to look no further than a potential fight with former WBA/IBF featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

The Mexican fights Thailand's Terdsak Jandaeng for the WBO interim featherweight title in August, with the winner likely to go on to face full champ Harrison.

The WBO have sanctioned the interim title fight because Harrison has been out of action since November, withdrawing from a proposed defence in May against Gairy St Clair because of personal problems.

Currently working hard to overcome them, Harrison has been given until November to defend his title by the WBO.

US based Marquez has a formidable 44-3-1 record, but lost his WBA crown against Chris John last time out on points.

Southpaw Jandaeng, beaten only once in 25 fights, is also confident of winning the interim crown.

ive never seen Scott Harrison fight he any good? i think JMM needs to get his shit together. he's already under MAB, EM and now PAC's shadow IMO. JMM always says the right things but for some reason always ends up fighting fights that I really dont understand. He should go up in weight IMO. Hes a great fighter but he seems to fight without any hunger sometimes IMO (not counting his fight w/ PAC) or maybe im just used to fighters like MAB, EM and Toni.

Scott Harrison is a big featherweight with a bully pressure fightr style, but is currently in a lot of depression and alcoholism so I wouldn't hold my breath. Considering JMM's last showing against John, and his size for the weight, I think an in shape 100% Harrison would win the fight.

i think it's all about motivation. the one who comes out with the more desire to win will come out on top. i was impressed with harrison's last performance against hussein. i honestly didn't expect him to dominate skinny. jmm should be able to make short works of jandaeng to set up this fight... can't wait.

It's not him,it's his management which is why he signed up with another organisation recently(indeed Rafa did too~).I agree though,he needs to seek the mega fights quickly,he is not getting any younger and the thing is,I think he would have a good chance against both EM and MAB!!

I think JMM has the power to hurt hima dn I also think JMM beat John comfortably,it reeked of a dodgy decisions in John's backyard.

To be honest, I think this one could be a bit of a farce if it ever did get made, as Harrison is going to come out of rehab and get his shiznit together, but he's going to face the same problem that he has over the past two fights.

He gets strong, tough and resilient, then he realises he's easily 10 lbs at least over the weight, then he has to drop muscle mass as well as his tiny remaining percentage of body fat and lord knows what else to get down to the weight. Even if he did a Cotto and had the weigh-in real early on the friday so he could munch his way back up to what his fighting weight really is, I think that JMM would beat him because he doesn't have to sacrifice quite as much to get into the ring at that weight.

To be honest, I could see a Corrales/Castillo situation happening, where Harrison shows up, and just can't get anywhere close to the weight.
