Mora sucks.  Any of the current prospects would knock him out.  He's a decent boxer but packs no punch.  His power makes Sven Ottke look like Julian Jackson.  His chin is also weak, since he's already been dropped. He should thank God everyday for the Contender show. Without it, he'll be making chump change. By the way, I'm going with Grady Brewer in the second season. I hope he wins.
well he just stopped a guy Sechew Powell couldn't so I think his power is accumulative rather then one punch
I don't much of Powell either. Brewer kicked his ass only to get robbed of the win. I would take Powell over Mora, thoughOriginally Posted by Starr
I really like Sergio Mora. I love his style, he's got skills and he's quick and he always gives a true warrior performance.
Personally I think he is great entertainment to watch and a worthy contender winner.
However as demise said he lacks power, I think it's now 4 ko's in about 20 fights and the last one should not have been stopped, and he seems to be physically quite frail.
I think his eye has split open in every fight I've ever seen of his and I'm not sure his body could go 12 rounds with a puncher like Taylor.
Still I like him, and will root for him when he does step up.
His last fight against Shark Attack though was a great performance. Down early he came back to completely dominate the fight and when you add then onto the fact that he was able to come back at Manfredo after suffering a terrible cut I think he has an excellent temperment and a strong mental will.
He's definitely top 20 material right now, and I reckon he could be top 10 after another 2 or 3 fights.
Beyond that though, I'm not sure...........
