i think wlad chin is okay...he has a brutal offense his oppenent have to survive and a jab thats hard to past by and now his able to last 12 rounds...i think wlad is the best heavyweight out there right now...he was knock around by sanders but sanders can knock any one out...and wlad was drop by sam peter but again sam has a strong punch...the knock out lost to brewster i think that was due to wlad getting drug or just wasn't in condition but weird how he got tired all of a sudden in that fight...

in the brewster fight he punched himself out, basically as you said he wasn't in condition.
But im not covinced about his chin, it seems whenever he gets hit he dosen't seem to take a good punch at all.

The greatest Russian Heavyweight of all time was Drago from Rocky 4 and he is of course a fictional character, but even though fictional he can beat all those bums.

I think there are a few American HW comming up....

Tye Fields 36-1 33KOs, Big guy, hard hitter with KO power....Needs a few solid fights to establish himself, but if he goes like he is now, could be our next American HW...


The big problem we have had over the years with our HW has been people like Don King fucking up their heads and careers....

If you look at most of the HW that have come from US and have been managed by Don King, all end up with legal battles, either with Law Suits or Criminal Cases...

I think we need to look deeper in America, and look at some of the HW comming up, get them more chances at fights and maybe, just maybe it will happen...

As I was told by a promoter at a fight about a year ago, the big push for a good lookin white HW is what everyone is lookin for atm....Just about when there could be one, he gets smashed...

So what is happening is this, not alot of Black HW are getting many chances and Unless the white HW has some PR credibility(looks, sellable features, etc...), he just aint going to get a fight...NO MATTER HOW STRONG OR GOOD THEY ARE!!!!

So what happens??

The US Promoters look overseas at people like Wlad and Vitali...

Good Looking, Good PR projects and very sellable in the USA....

Whay dont you think noone has jumped on getting Valuev to the states Can you imagine him in a Coke commercial NOT!! But yet, he is holding a belt, has beat some reputable fighters and could be the toughest guy out there...Is he going to be marketted like a champ NOPE, not by a long shot!!!

So when you wonder why there arent any American HW champs, look at the bigger picture...

The promoters dont give a shit about the American fighters out there....As long as they get that almighty dollar, they are happy with just what they can use....

Personally, I think tjhat i fit in with the good-looking white HW question. Granted, I may have never boxed, or have the quality matching Shannon Briggs;' recent opponents, but beating the sugar out of 30 bags of pawder standing in front of me might give me areasoinable reputation with very little work

I disagree....

I'm sure there are loads of commercial possibilities for Valuev, he could feature as a special on bags of Monster Munch for example. Or maybe star in a commercial where he steals Sugar Puffs from the Honey Monster, you just need to use your imagination.

I'm fine with whoever the hell we get & no matter where he hails from...I'll suport him as long as he's legit.

In the end...you gotta look at it like this...if the man keeps winning & besting champs & former champs & he makes waves...who gives a shat about country or race.

Props to Lyle...he told me to believe in Wlad. All it takes is a little faith. Wlad is impressive & he's going to be the future. Can't wait for Klitschko vs Briggs in November.
