Default Sky Sports July Line up.

Just had a look at the old sky sports line up for July and it looks as though they have done well again bringing the top fights live to the UK.

This has gone some way to Sky redeeming themselves as i should have had my Sky Hi def installed about 2 weeks ago but got a letter about 3 days before saying its not going in till 17th July. I think I have forgiven them though!!!

Just checked my shifts for the next month and I will get to see every fight as they happen - Delighted!!

Do you think this year has been Skys best line up of fights?. I don't think we have had as many big fights live as this before??

I have used sky's 'feedback' to ask/inquire why they show so much old sports events but never boxing? im hoping they could find a couple of hours a week to show some real classics.

So many fights took place before alot fo the younger generation boxing fans were alive or old enough to see them, alos great fights like the berrera morales triligy, would be a great reshow etc...

    Mate you read my mind!!

Only say a couple of weeks ago i mailed them to bring back the boxing gold, do you remember it?? they use to show top fights from teh nineties especially Mosley-Dela Hoya Eubank Collins etc etc, it use to be on every Thursday i think they ran out of fights to show!!! But that was about 3/4 years ago so hopefully we can get them back on.

I use to love watching Dela Hoya Quertey, even though it seemed to be on every other week!!

Don't know if you guys get the ESPN classic channel (channel 480 on sky i think).
That has a lot of boxing on it which is really good showing stuff from back in the 30s to recent day fights. Only recently discovered this channel but it has some real old classics on it. Recently watched a 3 part profile of Mike tyson which showed every single one of his fights which was class.

i think i caught it as it was finishing, we talking a good four years or so a go?

I made meniton of this forum in the e-mail, and said how a rep from sky could easily just post here asking what fights would want to be seen (i know they would get hundreds of freat fights requested)

i mean im 21, so i hardly ever got to see an ali fight (seen a few only) but there are tonnes of people my age and older would love to see fights from ali, hagler, herns, sugar ray, forman, joe louis, the lweis fights again, tyson holyfield, and thats just a select few of the hevies (apart form sugar ray:P)

an hour once a week showing one fight at a time, intervies, thoughts etc months of boxing there for us all to enjoy

I mean they show the same overpaid football prance around the pitch scoring the same goal or making the same pass a 100 time sover, why not show 2 people who actualy go to hell and back to make their living!

PS sorry to the non SKY sports people, your prolly wonder wth it is, or laughing at our lack of boxing:P
