Default So much for strum beating taylor...

sturm had to go and make me look bad by getting his ass stopped...now what for jermain taylor he can pretty much do what ever he wants at MW since there aren't any fights...unless he wants to move up and fight JC but not likely...damn it felix...

Sturm wasn't going to beat Taylor anyway. Bernard already did.

Why you think Strum turned down the Taylor fight?

Felix is a good fighter, I have no clue why he ended up getting caught that much, his defense always seemed decent but he didn't have it working for him that night.

JT is a tough son of a bitch, I picked him to beat Hopkins TWICE I picked him to beat Wright (at least he didn't lose) if they have a rematch I figure Jermain will give him hell again. Holing your own with those guys is no easy task just ask Trinidad, De la Hoya, and Mosley!

I remember when boxing fans had loyalty, and would not turn on a fighter after a defeat.

Instead they would suggest it was a learning experience and the fighter in question could come back stronger.

But then I was a British boxing fan of the 80s... thus I needed that kind of faith. But I guess the likes of Bomber Bruno show you sometimes your loyalty is rewarded.

Hey now! I don't know how you can put Taylor on such a different level than Miranda and Abraham.
Taylor hasn't proven a whole lot in his last 3 fights. Yea, he was given the win/draw against 2 hall of fame type fighers, but he also showed a good amount of weaknesses. Does he have the power we all thought? What about his defense? If he gets hit from Miranda or Abraham the way Winky hit him I don't think he will stay up. His stamina is also in question.

There are also some decent 'prospects' climbing their way up the middle weight ladder. It may take a year or so to clear up, but don't count out the middle weight yet. There's ALOT more potential than some other divisions!!!

Miranda and Abraham both look good fighters but the best man either of them have fought is an ancient Howard Eastman

Just the fact Taylor fought Hopkins and Winky in his last three fights let alone that he came out with two wins and a draw puts him on another level.
