Thread: Cotto is interested in Baldomir!!

In the newspaper here at Puerto Rico a reporter contact Cotto's camp trainer and Miguel Cotto and ask about the results in the past fight between Gatti and Baldi(Baldomir) and they said that they where surprice about the result but made very clear that they are interested in fight Baldi in December, as always he(Cotto) said that he will let top rank decide whats next for him.

I think Cotto can pull a UD here with Baldi if he decides not to brawl with this guy. When Gatti Box a little he control Baldi for that short time until he started to brawl. Cotto is stronger than Gatti but not stronger than Baldi, as always he has to Box, Box, Box and also give it to him to the body and get him tired.

If the $ is their and Mayweather dosen't want to fight Baldi then it may happen. Should be a good fight a very tough 1st fight for Cotto at 147.

This would be tough fight for Cotto at 147. Not sure who would win although as much as I hate to I would give the edge to Baldomir. I dont think Cotto can stay on his bicycle and box for as long as he will need to. Hope I am wrong I really like Cotto, but Baldomir seems to be just unrelenting. He never got frustrated when Judah was outboxing him, he just continued to walk him down till he caught him. And the Gatti fight, I didnt think Baldomir had it in him.

Come on! Surely this is an easy fight for Cotto?

I think Cotto would beat Baldomir quite convincinly, simply because im not yet sold on Baldomir. If he manages to beat Cotto then i would take my hat off to him and give him a hell of alot of respect.

Baldomir's tough, you can't take that away from him. I thought Judah would pound him into the ground, and Gatti, too...but I was wrong!! After seeing those two fights, and knowing how Cotto tends to get pulled into a brawl, I think Baldomir has a better than average shot at beating Cotto. It's not that Cotto can't win...he has the skills to land on Baldomir all day. I just think he lacks the self discipline to do what he'd need to do to win.

I think Cotto can win if he counter puches like he did abdulaev, but he may not make it through if he gets into a brawl like he did at times with torres. More than likely Cotto will be the counter puncher and that will be better for Cotto as he is an excellent counter puncher. I say cotto takes this in a ud.

Cotto by easy desicion...He hits harder then both Judah and Gatti...chin might be a bit suspect but he's been able to KO both those that were able to drop him. He would CRUSH Bladi IMO.

PBF would beat Baldomir
Hatton would beat Baldomir
Cotto will beat Baldomir

It's time for Cotto to take a mega fight, we have been waiting for him to take a big challenge for years and this would be his biggest yet, if not take Hatton or Margarito. It's time for Cotto to take over for Trinidad as the king of Puerto Rico.

My boy Miguel would win this fight but I dout it will happen as I envisage Baldozar and PBF,although I'd rather see Cotto fight him. I'd favour Cotto to outbox Baldo,and I too am not sold on him yet. I know he is dam tough but I think he can be easily outboxed and Miguel is one of the best boxers around.
