Default Mayweather Jr.'s predictions for Cory Spinks

Floyd Mayweather Jr is set to face Carlos Baldomir on November 4th. Last week however it was reported that it looked as if Mayweather would be facing Cory Spinks instead. The Spinks fight isn't happening, at least not yet as Mayweather's radar is set on Baldomir.

In a recent interview with David Mayo of the Grand Rapids press, Mayweather explained why Baldomir deserved the fight. Mayweather tells the Grand Rapid Press: "Baldomir has done some of the same things I've done. He knocked Gatti
out, I knocked Gatti out. He beat Judah, I beat Judah. He deserved the fight."

Mayweather had a prediction for Baldomir, and it's the same prediction he had for Cory Spinks. Mayweather tells the Paper: "Cory knew what was going to happen, I was going to walk straight through him. The same thing is going to happen to Baldomir, but Cory should be able to enjoy his belt a little while.

Mayweather added the possibilty is still there for a Spinks match up and gave Spinks a warning, saying: "When Cory does fight me, it's going to be his biggest payday, and his last payday."

INO Baldomir has far better chances than Spinks does!

I don't think so. Baldomir doesn't have the speed, defense, or jabs of Spinks. He will just walk forward and run into Floyd's punches while trying to land

Agreed. I will not be at all surprised if Floyd wins 120-108 on all three cards.

It could be argued either way....but PBF did whip Juda...soundly...so who knows....Baldomir appears to be the bigger fighter..with some decent boxing skill and not to mention a 20 fight win streak!!!!!!!!
It feels good to be back home.

Baldomir has power & a chin of steel! He keeps coming & doesn't give up! PBF has the sleek skill & style to pop & move Baldomir all nite, but at the same time, can Baldomir tire PBF & hit him with a good shot? I'm still for PBF, but this is boxing & anything can happen!!!!

Have yet to see PBF tire in a fight and Baldomir is veeerrrrry sllooooooowww. Don't see him landing anything--Judah lost concentration, Floyd won't.

I don't think Baldo has the power to be scare Floyd,I mean, with the style he has,to fight Floyd, you would need really good power because as he's so slow, you'd want to damage Floyd the few times you caught him but that's not going to happen...

Baldo's got a shot. I think he is so slow it throws timing off. I really don't think PBF can hurt him, and he can possibly hurt PBF. It is an interesting fight, and definitely one that makes sense. Spinks made no sense to me...

Don't get me wrong, PBF is still favored but I think it will be a tough fight. Especially since you never know how judges will score a round.

Floyds fight with Baldomir is the #1 contender (Floyd) taking on the welterweight champion (Baldomir) this championship fight is a lot more meaningful than a fight with Spinks for a belt. I think Floyd would have stopped Spinks but I feel he'll put a clinic on Baldomir!

Baldy does have a shot....but the odds are that the faster, more skilled fighter will work a decision. I think Baldomir DOES have the power to hurt Floyd IF he can connect....
