Your probably right, I don't think Mosley would beat him now he's slipped just enough so Floyd could outbox him handily imo.. But Mosley did look good in his rematch with WRight, it's not as if Vargas is his only good performance in years, then again that's at 154.. Definetly he should take a tune up/lesser opponent(like Margarito) at welter just to see where he's at. He definetly has the power to KO Floyd, that's what would make it very interesting imo, and Floyd certainly couldn't budge Mosley.
I'm not sure about Margarito. Shane even in his prime was troubled by taller fighters. But margarito doesn't use his height so I guess not. Shane should move down and fight one fight at 147 and then fight Margarito. We don't want the same thing that happened to Roy to happen to Shane. Needless to say I was shocked when he came in 154 for vargas. I thought he'd come in 149 again.
Yeah he has struggled against taller fighters, but he hasn't had too much trouble with BUMS in the past.. (Im really just trying to rag on the Game lol)
LOL,B******!!! I think Mosley better take a few tune ups if he wants to fight the Tijuana Tornado because I would put money on Margarito beating him,it's just something I am super confident about and I think Shane saying he was not ready for Tony is an acknowledgment that Tony can damage him. I expect Shane to start off faster but I honestly believe that Tony outhustles him and outworks him towards the end of the fight for a splt decision or UD. Margarito's probably the best bum in boxing!
So that's why you stick your nose up there all day.....
LMFAO!!! CC in 24,I'll let you off there,I'll admit you owned me,I have no response! All I say is you can see Mosley considers Tony a tough opponent, surely that must tell you something? Baldo also think she's tough!

Hey man, I know he's tough.. But you've gotta think alot of the reason people don't fight him is because nobody knows him... Think about it, Mosley is supposedly in discussions to fight him and they both wan't the fight.. Don't you think Mosley may have thought well why don't I bring him up in the interviews more people will pay interest? I think it may be that these name fighters figure if they mention his name as a tough opponent it will build up public interest in the fight, noone want's the kind or risk/reward that he brings currently. If some bigger names hype him up that way they can expose him with a Calzaghe vs Lacy type performance, and for more money.

Hahahahaha,I like how you try to turn it around but this won't be a Lacy Calzaghe,SSM is no JC and Margarito isn't an idiot(albeit brave)going to some other country, other timezone etc. Margarito is going to beat Mosley's ass straight up! I soooooooooo hope this fight comes off,I want to see Tony against an A grader so badly!! And as to your other point, PBF-$8million?

He's getting 8 million at least for Baldomir, and it will generate far more PPV, people will recognize him for the win, and he becomes the undisputed welterweight champion. Anything else?

Since when did PBF care about being linear champ? at 140? And I still find it hard to believe that Sycuan promotions/Goosen is able to generate that amount of $$$. and how do you know it will deliver far more PPV? A bit of work by Arum and it would be a big fight,I think most average fans know who Tony fans judging by the way he is mobbed wherever he goes(saw it in an interview, person interviewing mentioned how the excuse of who is Margarito will grow old sooner or later)

Oh come on buddy... It's not about just being the linear champ, and how are you surprised that they can offer Floyd as much to fight the champion who has beaten Zab Judah and Gatti in the lst year, and yet not at all skeptical when you heard they offered 8 million for Margarito, who has beaten noone near that status. Of course it will generate more PPV, do you have any idea how many people know who both PBF and Baldomir are just because they both whipped Gatti?? trust me man, people know Gatti, who know nothing about boxing.. I have had friends who don't really follow boxing remotely, but they would order Gatti's PPV's after his battle with Ward.

You make valid points which I cannot argue,Gatti is probably hugely popular stateside. I was addressing the linear champ point because you mentioned it,the average fan doesn't know anything about that type of stuff but you're right, I see how it would make more, never looked at it like that.

As for the $8million,I'm not sceptical because A.) Floyd implied he had knowledge about it by constantly saying his next fight would be MORE than $8million and B.) I never heard Mayweather say he was not being offered that type of money, his argument was about how well it would do on PPV.

Out of interest, how many buys do you see this doing? I think about 350,000-375,000?

I don't know, but I think you may be surprised the impact that both of them beating Gatti will have on the PPv generated, and general public interest... I honestly have people ask me about the fight who would never care otherwise, simply because they have followed Gatti for several years now. "Hey are you going to watch Mayweather fight the Argentinian guy who beat Gatti and Judah... I can't wait to order it". Im not kidding, you know.. it's just a different level of popularity, sure boxing fans are beginning to know who Margarito is, but Gatti's fights with Ward made national news, you know... People who had no idea and had never watched any boxing just started seeing these blood and guts replays... If ABC or Fox was to do a special on how Floyd Mayweather the no.1 p4p fighter in the world was deadly scared of the boogeyman Margarito, and showed some of his highlights, it would probably generate alot of PPV too, but as far as anything Bob Arum can do to promote the fight... Well noone outside of boxing gives a rat's ass who he is, or would ever hear anything he had to say.
