    this is a really interesting thread. one thing that interests me about it is that some of the names given are of big upsets, for example, buster douglas. an upset, along with a victory in a big step-up in class, are certainly key aspects of living off a win. but another key aspect must be not fight top contenders in the wake of that win. douglas beat tyson in february 1990. his next fight was 8 1/2 months later against Holyfield.

    Big CC for you my friend, that's really what I meant to say I know the thread wasn't crystal clear, but a key aspect was that it had to have been fighters who didn't attempt to make anything or what they should have out of a big win, not just fighters who got lucky one time.
