GOOD, Sam Peter needs to fix his style and James Toney needs to be more active to earn a title shot

    I liked the first fight.

I hope that Peter knocks Toney out this go around. He got close a few times, IWO, & stunned Toney pretty good.

Peter just needs to concentrate on his jab a bit more also.

I'll be there for this one again...even though I'd rather Peter beat Maskaev first.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!

lol i know the fight itself is old news but speaking of , i was surprised at how Toney was not that much smaller than peter ...id expected Toney to be more dwarfed next to peter but it wasnt quite the case ...Peter was more broad but Toney wasnt much shorter

If they rematch.....Toney would SCHOOL Peter even more convincinly then when he was robbed. Simple as that.....BUT he does need to get rid of the flab!

It was clearly a fight that deserves a rematch, how many people actually thought Peter won?

Whether its a bit shady that the WBC enforced a rematch is another story.

It's because all organizations in fighting, be it boxing or MMA, never seem to have a single standard for measuring height. It's ridiculous. I don't know if they measure some of these guys with their shoes on or what, but they need to be consistent when reporting height.

For example David Tua has been listed as 5'9, 5'9and 1/2, and 5'10 in different bouts.
Sam Peter has been listed as 6'0, 6'1, and 6'2 in various bouts and articles. The only guys heights that they don't screw up on are the tall guys (the giraffes) Wlad is always listed as 6'6 for example.

But everyone under 6'2.....good luck finding the consistency.

They need to make each fighter take off his shoes and measure them with the same damn tape...shouldn't be that hard.

Agreed...these are really two seperate issues. Toney deserves the rematch and as much as I despise him..fair is fair. This time I hope to see punchstat and new judges.

i think it would take too much out of him to get down to 220,he comes down from like 260,when ur that old you dont wanna over train or get training injurys ,i think anything under 228 is too low for him ,hes a thick guy
