Tough call. Depends on which Hagler, early in his career he wasn't the bull he became, more of a counterpuncher. Hopkins would have had a very good chance against the older Hagler that Leonard beat. And I don't think any version stops Hopkins. Hopkins was strong, good chin, great defense.

i think hagler could either give hopkins more trouble then he ever had...
or hopkins would move counterpunch and make hagler fight his fight for the best part of the fight!

Hopkins would have won... Jones couldn't even make HOpkins flinch, and he hits way harder than any version of Hagler... that was early Hopkins who already was giving JOnes, at times, trouble... Hopkins was a little quicker than Hagler, much smarter, good enough of a chin that the few times Hagler would hit him he wouldn't get hurt, a very, very good inside fighter, and in tremendous shape.. there is absolutely no way that Hagler could wear him down.
