Default Castillo preparing for comeback!(Harris first, then Hatton)

    http://www.fightnews.com/fightnews_2...EcfljrEFW.html

Starting on October 16, two-time world champion Jose Luis Castillo (54-7-2, 47 KOs) will begin a five-week program at Velocity Sports Performance in West Los Angeles, the same group of medical/nutritional specialists that helped Erik Morales get in peak shape. Castillo said he informed promoter Fernando Beltran yesterday and both are enthused about the prospects of Castillo initiating a process of weight loss that will not leave him debilitated for his next fight, which will be in the 140lb division. Castillo is eyeing a ring return on January 6 or 13 against Vivian Harris, then if successful, a showdown with Ricky Hatton by the end of March or April. "I am excited the support that has been given to me by my promoters Bob Arum and Fernando Beltrán," said Castillo. "The truth is this opportunity that has ben given to me will not be wasted. It is a new beginning and I will be a champion of the world again." Castillo says he will begin training camp at the end of November in Temoaya, Mexico, training through the holidays and remain until six days before the fight with Harris.

Hmmmm, didn't you know you did not like Castillo Wack. Any particular reason? I think he is a great fighter, but I lost respect for him after the second Corrales fight(which should not have gone ahead in my humble opinion) and the third one. However,as Joe Goossen pointed out in an interview, his camp, his management, his team should also be help responsible because surely they knew he was never going to make weight.

As a fighter though,I like him,and I respect him for taking these tough fights, maybe he is trying to make it up to the fans?

I got a lot of issues with him over the weight bullshit in the Corrales rematch...& then he shows up for the rubber match & pulls the same horse shit.

I'm not that big of a fan of the man in or out of the ring...just don't dig on the man.

i pick castillo against harris cos of his chin. castillo could take harris's power and take him to the later rounds where harris's stamina may give him problems again. but against hatton i pick hatton all the way to wear him down and stop him.

Naaa, even though I'm not that big a fan of Hatton,at 140,he is the man to beat,a beast and I think he will wear Castill out. Plus,it's only a matter of time before the wars catch up to JLC,he's 32 isnt he? I just think Hatton's pressure/tactics will be too much for him! I think JLC beats Harris though but as for Harris Hatton,I don't think anyone beats Hatton at 140 at the moment.

i think that vivian is vastly underrated because he decided to be an idiot one night and ko a guy (maussa) inside of 4 rounds to make a statement to pbf
we all know he lost, but if there were a rematch, harris all day long. and harris was the buzz of that weight class going into that fight, and looked back to his old self in his last fight.

its probably gonna be castillo/hatton, but jlc's gonna come into a fight where he isnt so weight drained for the first time in a while.
i bet he weighs in at the 140 limit, then comes in at 148ish.
hes gonna knock hatton out.............i cant wait to see the odds on this fight, cause im gonna make some money

Like I said in an earlier thread, I see Castillo maybe even having some problems making 140. Look at the last weighin for the third where he weighed 139.5 and looked like death. He needs to do something different in his conditioning.

Anyway, I was upset about what happened but he's such an entertaining fighter I can get over it, I think he grinds down Harris and takes him out in about 10.

Actually the more that I think about it Castillo deserves some credit if he fights Vivian in his first fight at 140 after a long layoff, most fighters if they move up take an easy one in their first one.

If hatton-castillo happens the focus level of castillo will mean alot.........he needs to take this fight very seriously beacause there he aint going back to lightweight! and hatton is the man to beat at 140! if castillo loses to hatton i think its game over castillo

I agree,JLC deserves credit for his willingness to take on the best,no warm ups etc. I disagree with you Tam,I don't think it'll be the end of Castillo unless it's a savage beating. I think JLC is so big,he could easily make 147 which would be awesome too!

Frozen,I do not see JLC koing Hatton,I just don't see it.How?
