Darchinyan to protest result!

Flyweight superstar Vic Darchinyan will protest the "technical decision" result of his win over Glenn Donaire on Saturday night in Las Vegas. The one-sided bout ended with Donaire telling referee Tony Weeks that he believed his jaw was broken by a headbutt and he couldn't go on. Weeks took Donaire at his word and sent the bout to the scorecards, even though no headbutt was apparent. On Monday the Darchinyan camp will send a tape along with a protest to Nevada State Athletic Commission in an effort to get the result changed to a KO. "I couldn't understand why it's a technical decision if his corner stopped the fight and he turned away," said Darchinyan after the fight. "It was a punch not a head butt."

Vic earned the KO on his record not a TD. He is doing the right thing and I wish him luck.

Vic is very confident even in his post-fight interview saying he'd be willing to fight RMarquez, now thats confidence.

Starr is not alone on that. Vic style is a horrible watch in my opinion . . to me awkward fighters like this Vic are a horrible watch, ! I like punches to come off smooth- 6- 7 punch combonations a good traditional fighting styles.

Yeah i agree, his style is bad to watch but every fight hes in you know theres gonna be fireworks. It appeals to the american fans coz they wanna see someone get knocked out and vic can deliver that. He sounds like hes getting more fans in america then he had in australia.

Yeah i agree hes begging to be outboxed. But the ones who try get hit their gameplan falls right out the window and smashes into the pavement. Vic is not only heavy handed, hes very quick so those looping punches he throws arent so easy to avoid. Donnaire claimed to not be intimidated by vic...so does everyone but they get in there and its not the same.

I gotta disagree with you guys, I love watching Vic fight, love the way he cocks that left. Some fighters just fight awkward thats what makes them good, Ali had many flaws, Hamed too, but thats what gave them an edge

yeah you might be right. I was thinking Arce might get it done, but the more i think about it Arce might be too much of a straight ahead type fighter to be able to negate that awkwardness. He libel to walk right into that big Vic left.
