Default Calzghe heading towards bigger things in the USA???

Did Calzaghe do enough against Bika to interest the US broadcasters and bring him more superfights?

casual boxing fans are fickle and want a flashy, Jonesesc fighter... REAL Boxing fans already like Calzaghe in the States. We just want to see him fight someone that means something.

Calzaghe doesn't have many big fights left in him so I wanna see him before he begins his decline in another battle that actually means something... Not every fight will be a Lacy fight. Joe wins his own way... It just happened that night his way was the perfect way to abliterate a "Home run hitter" who seemed to be forced into a slump by Joe C's speed and acuacy. Sure we'd like to see him come to the states... But more then that I want to see him in a fight against Kessler, Hopkins, even a Jones fight would be OK... Honestly, who do you know thats a Bika fan... lol...

He should be fighting Kessler to unify or move up... Thats it. Thats what America and I'm sure everyone wants. He's no spring chicken and although IMO he is a great... There are others who will rip him for @ his peak fighting lower opposition.

They fought on the same night... They will both be available in 5 months time... I want to see if Kess has anything for Joe... I think Calzaghe would look good with 4 belts... Least we know his pants won't fall down

He didnt do enough. With American fans you have to be the one punch KO artist to get good PPV numbers. Or be ODLH, he is the only person outside of the HW division to have good PPV success. If they are looking for him to be a huge PPV draw then it wont happen. Not even RJJ was a great PPV draw, I do think he would bring in good PPV numbers (300,000 + buys). I think they need to take a chance on him, they put Rahman/Maskaev on PPV why cant they put Joe on PPV. He couldnt draw any less than what those two did.

Well according to a Danish newspaper Frank Warren and Joe wants a fight with Kessler in February but not in Denmark.
I guess it is because it nearly as hard to win by points in Denmark as it is in Germany .

Anyway I hope they can arrange a fight with Kessler, and that he would beat Calzghe.

I don't think Kessler at all mind coming to England for a french visit returning with 4 belts

Kessler would get "Lacy'd"... Well not that bad but Joe would squash his dreams... Kess is the future of the Div.............When Joe retires

The trouble is, boxing fans like us think too hard and are dissapointed easily by the dream matchups in our head not coming off. The reality is, its not like it used to be, its too much about $$$ and not enough about

I thought this was suposse to be his coming out party against Bika
After the demolition of Lacy he was gonna be Alexander The Great and conquer the States.
After that sloppy performance who knows maybe if they get Hopkins, RJJ or even Tarver

Joe ain't going anywhere. His ass been saying he's coming to America for years. But for some reason he stays his ass home. Calzaghe shows his true colors when he wouldn't come to the US before to face Hopkins or Jones (now he says he's willing) but his boy Hatton comes to the US to face Luis Collazo. Calzaghe coward ass should be fuckin ashame of himself.

Calzghe earned the right to be the top at 168, but until he fights in America he won't get the credit he probably deserves. I was sold after he whupped Lacy, but he's not top ten pfp without another signature win. And there are many lining up, most notably Allan Green or Jean Paul Mendy.

In this last fight he looked capable but not able to fight the whole 12 rounds. By the end he was landing, but not with authority. He's been asking to fight the more notable fighters at higher weight classes who are much older, easier and entirely more lucrative instead of better competition at 168.

Joe's close to getting the respect he deserves, but he needs to do it in America. And soon.

Well if the price is right he will, he says he will come if he is paid correctly, why do you think he went to Germany to fight Veit Veit's promoters won the rights for the fights and basically Joe and Frank Warren had nothing to do with this fight it was all Veit's people, so do you not class that as a dangerous venture? Calzaghe will fight anywhere if he is paid what he is worth, he got £600k for that fight so he travelled, why didnt BHop travel to face Joe he was being paid millions but after agreeing decided to double his appearence fee, dont start using double standards.
